Early Adventure Time Episode: finn discovers a squirrel that can burp like a human and names it Burpin Mike. he uses Burpin Mike to prank jake, but takes the prank too far and learns a lesson about boundaries.
Late Adventure Time Episode: Burpin Mike's burping talent has netted him a lucrative career as a political spokesperson in the candy kingdom. the job brings him success, but he hates himself for selling out his talent. he is depressed, and at one point is implied to be suicidal. none of Adventure Time's main characters appear in the episode.
The show starts off as a whimsical coming of age story in a fantasy world, but it grew up with its audience. Characters are given depth and meaning that Finn didn't always understand, and at this point Finn's story is pretty much finished. We've literally watched him grow up and build a life that makes him happy, hell, we've literally watched him fucking die and enter the afterlife. His story is over. But the good part of a broader world and a growing narrative is that there's always something and someone else to explore. Bubblegum and Marceline's relationship and past, Simon's coming to terms with regaining his sanity and humanity at the cost of losing his wife again, hell, we even have a genderswapped urban fantasy AU that became canon and is largely about the characters being 20-something failures learning how to really live and be better to one another, with Fionna in particular having chronic depression and learned helplessness after a lifetime of being pushed down for trying to do the right thing.
It's a much bigger and weirder world than it started as, and tbh that's not a bad thing.

I cannot even explain how ANGRY I am at this.
My nephew is very allergic to eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame. Last year my sister discovered all hot dogs and hamburger buns now contain sesame. Not "may contain", but listed in the ingredients. This year basically every brand of sliced bread also now contains sesame, making it very difficult to find bread items he can eat.
They're just adding it to their products, so they can just list it as an ingredient and not bother with worrying about cross contamination. And they aren't even bothering with telling anyone. Capitalism is going to kill us all.

It's a process we're seeing going on everywhere, tbh.
1. A company is struggling to make higher profits thanks to having achieved maximum market share
2. The company buys out the competition and fires most of the workers who actually knew what they were doing
3. They hire a new CEO who promises the moon, they fuck with the system to either nickel and dime customers or reduce quality, and slashes their actual employee count to pretend to save money - XBOX is currently here
4. The reduced quality and output and increased pricing drives away customers, creating a death spiral
5. The CEO and shareholders walk away with a golden parachute while the business goes under
The big problem is that it's happening to basically everything right now. Companies like Toys R Us have already gone under despite being the biggest name in their sphere of influence, and right now the AI bubble only even exists because tech companies are desperate to replace human employees entirely with something that works nonstop and doesn't demand rights or decent treatment.
This is the finale of capitalism. The oligarchy has nowhere else to steal wealth from, so they're destroying the infrastructure of the system they enforce and leaving it to collapse on top of everyone else. It's why they're buying luxury bunkers and funding fascist takeovers of governments, it's why they keep bribing politicians to give them wildly overinflated contracts and bailouts. The system is eating itself now that it can't find new sources of wealth.
