Heck Yeah, Pony Scans!

What if Princess Celestia and Luna didn't just give all their responsibilities to Twilight but were like "Okay, we need to elevate two Princesses: one for the sun duties and one for the moon duties. This job is too hard to do alone."

Twilight Sparkle would seem to be the obvious choice for Moon Princess because she is night themed and loves the stars. This would leave the question of who would become the day princess. Will it be one of Twilight's near and dear friends? Or Sunset Shimmer? Or a total stranger?

Like there's no ticking clock and there have been episodes exploring how hard it would be to rule alone, yet they're like "So anyway Twilight . . . we're out. Good luck girl!"

Personally I think it would have been more effective if they killed off Princess Celestia, either via a heroic sacrifice during a villain battle, or else Celestia gently telling Twilight that alicorns AREN'T immortal, just very long-lived, and even though she looks young she can feel Her Time Is Nigh. (I think it would be kind of contrived for Princess Luna to also die, so she could have stuck around mentoring Twilight + dealing with her grief.)

Or, idk, a villain casts a terrible curse on the princesses, and they will die UNLESS they willingly drain themselves of magic, so then Twilight HAS to step up and replace them.

Either that or just skip the whole Grand Princess Twilight thing and let the poor pony have a job as a professor of magic or a librarian. I think either of those would be a much happier fit for an introverted bookworm.

This is how I made risers for my baby sea ponies: cut off one top flap of a 10x4x4 boxes, which supports their floaties enough to keep them upright.

I was pondering what to use for risers, and I ended up ordering a bunch of cardboard boxes from Uline and covering them in wrapping paper.

I dropped by Summer Con this weekend and a very kind vendor let me look at a MIB Pretty Pony (the re-release from around 1984)! Seeing a mint one, she was originally a pastel pink, just like her box shows. But I could already see some patches of yellowing on her rump.
