So the poll made yui komori win as yuu of twisted wonderland. What if yui!yuu was in twisted wonderland? Here is how my perspective of twisted wonderland characters towards yui komori!yuu would go:
Ace Trappola, Before: Ace thinks the Prefect is an absolute pushover. When he gets collared by Riddle and crashes at Ramshackle Dorm, he expects her to yell at him or throw him out. Instead, she just anxiously welcomes him in and tries to make him comfortable. Because she flinches whenever he gets too loud or brash, he assumes she is terrified of her own shadow. He treats her with casual disregard, calling her "Prefect" with an eye-roll because he thinks she has zero backbone.
After: When the actual fight breaks out, Ace is shocked. He punches Riddle, and the whole courtyard turns into a war zone, but Yui doesn't run away. She stands there trembling, clutching Grim, refusing to leave the boys behind despite being completely defenseless. Ace realizes her quiet, apologetic nature isn't stupidity, it’s just how she copes. He still teases her, but he stops being so aggressively loud around her because he secretly respects that she stayed when she could have run.
Cater Diamond, Before: Cater initially treats her like a fragile glass doll, snapping quick selfies and calling her "Prefect-chan." But Cater is incredibly sharp when it comes to reading people's vibes. He notices very quickly that Yui’s posture stiffens completely whenever a guy steps too close to her, and her eyes dart toward the exits. He realizes she is carrying some heavy, unsaid trauma. Instead of pushing her, he uses his lighthearted facade to keep the louder, rowdier students away from her so she can breathe.
After: Once Riddle actually blows up and starts screaming, Cater drops the overly happy Magicam act. He watches Yui look at the magical violence with a hollow, familiar sort of fear, like she’s seen monsters (vampires actually) far worse than an angry teenager. After the battle, Cater shifts into a genuine, protective older-brother mode. He stops treating her like a social media novelty and starts quietly looking out for her, making sure Heartslabyul's daily chaos doesn't push her past her breaking point.
Trey Clover, Before: Trey feels an immediate, deep sense of worry for her. Yui is polite, helpful, and naturally good at kitchen chores, which makes her very easy to get along with. But Trey notices her hyper-vigilance. She obeys rules with a desperate, submissive compliance, as if expecting immediate physical punishment if she slips up. Trey thinks Night Raven College is entirely too harsh for a girl with her fragile mental state, and he constantly tries to shield her from the dorm's internal drama.
After: After Riddle’s breakdown, Trey’s respect for her goes through the roof. While everyone else is reeling from the violence, Yui doesn't look at a crying, defeated Riddle with anger. She looks at him with profound, empathetic sorrow, because she knows exactly what it feels like to be completely trapped under a household tyrant's thumb. Trey realizes her gentle, quiet nature is actually a massive source of emotional comfort. He relies on the Prefect to help soothe Riddle’s fragile ego during the recovery process.
Deuce Spade, Before: Deuce’s strict "reformed good boy" personality kicks into absolute overdrive the second he meets her. Seeing a tiny, magicless girl who genuinely looks terrified when people start shouting triggers his deep-seated chivalrous instincts. He treats her with immense, polite distance, but he constantly throws himself in front of her like a human shield whenever Ace starts acting up or when the upperclassmen get too rowdy.
After: Deuce feels deeply responsible for her after the Overblot. He saw how she forced down her own intense fear just to support them from the sidelines while they fought Riddle's giant ink monster. He realizes that even though she can't fight, her spirit is incredibly stubborn. His protective behavior becomes dead serious. He starts treating the Prefect with the utmost respect, essentially vowing to become a powerful, reliable wizard so she never has to feel unsafe on campus again.👑
Riddle Rosehearts, Before: Riddle completely dismisses her at first because she has zero magical ability, viewing her as a non-entity on campus. Her immediate, anxious obedience to his rules satisfies his need for order, but her physical reaction to his temper deeply irritates him. When he yells, she doesn't argue back like Ace, she just looks at him with wide, horrified eyes, as if she is looking at an absolute monster. Riddle finds this deeply insulting, assuming she is just weak and lacks proper discipline.
After: Riddle’s entire world is shattered after he wakes up from his Overblot. When he is at his absolute lowest, crying, pathetic, and exposed, Yui is the only person who doesn't look at him with judgment or fear. She approaches him with a soft-spoken, genuine kindness that he has never experienced from his own mother. Once his pride cools down, Riddle feels a heavy pang of guilt for how his tyrannical behavior terrified her. He formally recognizes the Prefect as a highly resilient individual, and he quietly makes sure that his future rule-enforcement never crosses into the terrifying territory that triggers her.
Ruggie Bucchi, Before: Ruggie initially treats the Prefect like a typical nosey human student trying to ruin his plans. Because he is focused on executing Leona's scheme, he uses standard slum-tactics to scare her off. He leans in close, drops a sharp verbal threat about "staircase accidents," and expects her to back off. Instead, Yui doesn't just look startled, she completely pales, trembles violently, and pulls away as if he is about to physically strike her. Ruggie is left blinking in confusion. He is a pragmatist; he realizes immediately that this isn't normal "I'm scared of a beastman" behavior. He stops threatening her entirely, feeling a sudden, deeply uncomfortable pang of guilt because he realizes she is genuinely, deeply broken by something in her past.
After: After the Overblot, Ruggie’s suspicions are completely confirmed. He watches her interact with the rest of the boys and notices she treats every male on campus with the same hyper-vigilant, submissive caution, even the ones like Deuce who are actively trying to be nice. Ruggie pieces together that her fear isn't about claws or fangs; it’s a deeply ingrained terror of men in general. He completely drops his sly, intimidating persona around her. He treats the Prefect with a quiet, careful distance, making sure to give her plenty of personal space so he doesn't accidentally trigger her panic again.
Jack Howl, Before: Jack's fierce, unyielding sense of justice makes him highly observant. When he first encounters Yui during the investigation, he tries to bark at her to "go home" and "stay out of beastmen business" to keep her safe from Savanaclaw's dirty tactics. But when he raises his voice, Yui visibly flinches and curls inward, looking completely terrified of him. Jack is deeply bothered by this. His beastman instincts tell him that her reaction isn't just standard fear, she is acting like an animal that has been cornered and mistreated by predators before. He lowers his voice significantly around her, switching from a gruff barking tone to a protective, quiet guard dog stance.
After: Once the Overblot is resolved, Jack talks it over with Ruggie and comes to a heavy conclusion. Watching how Yui avoids eye contact with the larger male students and constantly shrinks into herself, Jack realizes she carries severe trauma inflicted by men. It makes his blood boil to think someone so small and magicless was mistreated, but his respect for her grows immensely. He realizes the Prefect forced herself to stand in a stadium full of aggressive, roaring beastmen just to stop Leona. He begins treating her with the absolute highest level of formal, quiet courtesy, acting as a silent, reliable protector who stands at a respectful distance.
Leona Kingscholar, Before: Leona is a predator with incredibly sharp senses. When Yui confronts him in the botanical garden, he doesn't even have to look at her to understand her state. His beastman sense of smell immediately picks up the intense, sour scent of pure, spike-vessel terror rolling off her. At first, his royal ego assumes she is just terrified of his massive size and predator aura. He drops a lazy, half-hearted threat to scare the "annoying herbivore" away. But when she responds with an immediate, desperate, submissive apology, looking like she expects him to claim her or hurt her, Leona's ears twitch in irritation. He realizes her scent of fear doesn't change whether he is growling or just lying there sleeping.
After: The true revelation happens after Leona wakes up from his Overblot. As he lies there physically exhausted, Yui quietly approaches him to offer medical fluids, her hands visibly shaking as she gets close to a male of his stature. Sniffing the air closely in the quiet aftermath, Leona finally realizes the truth: she isn't specifically afraid of him. Her scent of terror is a permanent, static baseline triggered by the presence of any male, regardless of whether they mean her harm or not.Leona’s deep-rooted royal manners and respect for ladies kick in with a heavy sense of silent understanding. He realizes she has survived some horrific, controlling environment dominated by men. He stops trying to intimidate her entirely. He still groans and complains when she walks into the room, but his tone loses all of its predatory edge.
Floyd Leech, Before the Overblot: Floyd doesn't care why she is scared; he just thinks it's hilarious. Since almost everyone at NRC is terrified of him anyway, finding a tiny, magicless human girl who physically freezes up like a statue whenever he gets close is pure entertainment. He invades her personal space, squeezes her until she can't breathe, and slaps the nickname "Koebi-chan" (Little Shrimpy) on her because she shakes like a literal landed shrimp. He treats her intense anxiety like a toy to poke at for his own amusement.
After the Overblot: Absolutely nothing changes about his daily routine. He still grabs her, still chokes her, and still calls her "Little Shrimpy." The only slight shift is that he notices she doesn't just get annoyed or mad like Ace or Deuce, she goes completely hollow and expressionless when people scream or get violent. Floyd thinks her dead, checked-out reaction is super weird and "boring." He might slightly loosen his grip during a squeeze just so she actually reacts, but he remains the same unpredictable, invasive nuisance he always was.
Jade Leech, Before the Overblot: Jade views her terror as a massive corporate asset. He sees that she is hyper-vigilant and desperate to please authority figures to avoid punishment. While wearing his perfectly polite "gentleman" mask, he uses her obvious submissiveness to aggressively press Azul’s legal advantages during the Mostro Lounge negotiations. He completely writes her off as an ordinary, weak-willed human who is entirely too easy to manipulate.
After the Overblot: Jade realizes her extreme fear isn't actually about the contracts or the Leech twins' reputation, it's a fixed, psychological reaction to men in general. Does he become nice? Absolutely not. He just files this information away as a tactical profile. He realizes that threatening or yelling at the Prefect is a waste of energy because she just shuts down completely. He maintains his standard, chilly courtesy, but he stops using blatant scare tactics on her simply because a calm, calculated business negotiation gets results out of her much faster.
Azul Ashengrotto, Before the Overblot: Azul thinks she is an absolute joke of an opponent. When she comes to negotiate for the 225 students' contracts, her voice is shaking and she acts like a cornered animal. Azul’s massive ego completely balloons. He treats her with theatrical, slimy politeness while fully exploiting her anxious, apologetic nature to trap her in a terrible deal, thoroughly enjoying how easily he can dominate a magicless human girl.
After the Overblot: Azul is mortified that she saw him crying and throwing a pathetic tantrum. However, he notices that even after his defeat, she still treats him with the exact same terrified, hyper-compliant deference she did when he was winning. Azul’s sharp brain pieces together that she has survived an environment where powerful men completely controlled her. His opinion changes from "useless pawn" to "shrewd survivor." He doesn't become her friend, but his pride demands that he acts like a legitimate businessman around her. He stops trying to ruthlessly scam the Prefect and sticks strictly to fair, legally binding transactions, purely because his ego refuses to let him look like a cheap, bullying tyrant in her eyes.
Kalim Al-Asim, Before the Overblot: Kalim is naturally dense and blindingly optimistic. When the tiny, jumpy Prefect arrives at the dorm, he ignores her nervous flinching entirely and showers her with aggressive, loud hospitality. When Jamil’s brainwashing magic causes Kalim to snap into his harsh, tyrannical persona, Kalim screams at her and forces her through brutal training drills. He doesn't notice that his sudden rage makes her completely freeze with terror; he is too caught up in his own magically induced paranoia to pay attention to a magicless girl's feelings.
After the Overblot: Once the hypnosis lifts, Kalim goes right back to his cheerful, oblivious self. He feels bad that he was a terrible host, but he doesn't analyze her trauma. He just thinks she is a quiet, exceptionally polite girl. He tries to make it up to the Prefect by throwing a massive banquet, offering her endless piles of exotic food, and treating her like a normal, trustworthy friend who helped snap him out of his nightmare.
Jamil Viper, Before the Overblot: Jamil doesn't know or care why Yui is so timid; he only cares that she is incredibly easy to predict. He notices immediately that she is hyper-compliant, terrified of authority, and will do whatever she is told to avoid a conflict. Because he is busy orchestrating a secret coup, her submissive nature makes his job effortless. He uses his sharp tone and cold glare to keep the Prefect exactly where he wants her, treating her like a minor, easily managed civilian piece on his chessboard who won't dare step out of line.
After the Overblot: Jamil’s secret plot is exposed, and his true, cynical personality is out in the open. He realizes that throughout the entire desert ordeal, the Prefect never once tried to fight back, argue, or expose him, she just quietly obeyed and kept her head down out of sheer survival instinct. Jamil doesn't pity her. Instead, as someone who also spent his entire life playing a submissive, hyper-compliant role to survive a household he hated, he recognizes her behavior for what it is: a tactical defense mechanism. He doesn't become her friend or ask about her past. He just shifts his opinion of the Prefect from "useless bystander" to "someone who knows how to keep her mouth shut."
Vil Schoenheit, Before the Overblot: Vil finds her absolute lack of composure entirely unacceptable. To him, a person's posture and presence reflect their inner strength. Seeing the Prefect constantly shrinking her shoulders, ducking her head, and looking like a terrified mouse makes him snap at her to stand up straight. He hates her desperate, apologetic submissiveness, viewing it as a complete lack of self-respect and discipline. He forces her into intense vocal and dance training during the VDC camp, completely blind to the fact that his harsh, domineering perfectionism is actively triggering her deep-seated trauma.
After the Overblot: Vil's pride is completely broken after his ugly, desperate breakdown. When he cools down and regains his senses, his perception shifts. He looks at Yui, who is still trembling and visibly anxious around him, and realizes his aggressive, controlling behavior during the camp directly mirrored whatever terrifying authority figures broke her spirit in the past. As a perfectionist who prides himself on being a fair queen, he feels a quiet, heavy pang of professional regret. He doesn't coddle her, but his tone softens significantly. He stops barking orders at the Prefect and begrudgingly allows her to move at her own pace, silently respecting her survival instincts.
Rook Hunt, Before the Overblot: Rook views her as a deeply tragic, delicate flower—referring to her as "La Princesse Tremblante" (The Trembling Princess). True to his eccentric nature, Rook is a stalker, but he is fundamentally a passionate appreciator of life and beauty. It genuinely bothers his poetic soul to see a naturally beautiful, polite young lady living in a constant, paralyzing state of fear. He tracks her movements, analyzes her anxious habits, and frequently pops out of nowhere to offer her a fresh, single blossom or spout dramatic French poetry. He tries to comfort her in his own bizarre, overwhelming "Rook way," completely oblivious to the fact that a strange man jumping out of the bushes to hand her flowers actually scares her out of her mind.
After the Overblot: Rook’s theatrical behavior stays exactly the same, but his understanding of her deepens. Watching her endure the absolute chaos of Vil’s raging Overblot without completely collapsing proves to him that she possesses an incredible, quiet resilience. He realizes her fear isn't a sign of weakness, but a shield she uses to survive. He continues to bring her flowers and guard her from a distance, but he tempers his sudden appearances slightly. He treats the Prefect with an exaggerated, chivalrous reverence, determined to inject some poetic beauty into her life to counteract the shadows of her past.
Epel Felmier, Before the Overblot: Epel relates to her on a surface level because he also feels completely trapped and suffocated by Vil’s overwhelming, aggressive authority. He sees Yui as a quiet, nice girl who is getting completely run over by the louder personalities in Pomefiore. Because she is frail and magicless, he tries to be gentle with her, though he is too caught up in his own miserable struggle against Vil’s demands to truly understand the depth of her hyper-vigilance.
After the Overblot: Epel feels a massive, crushing wave of guilt. Watching Vil lose his mind and scream in a fit of magical rage makes Epel look over at Yui, who is pale, hyperventilating, and utterly terrified by the display of male violence. Epel realizes that while he was just complaining about being forced to act elegant, the Prefect was genuinely, psychologically suffering under the tense, high-pressure environment they forced her into. He feels terrible for not being a better dorm host. Epel doesn't become overly dramatic about it, but he quietly vows to get stronger so he can stand between her and any aggressive figures, treating her with a protective, grounded kindness from then on.
Ortho Shroud, Before the Overblot: Ortho’s advanced medical and emotional scanners immediately flag Yui's severe baseline trauma. He detects a massive spike in her heart rate and stress hormones the second she enters S.T.Y.X. headquarters, recognizing that the high-tech, clinical kidnapping was deeply overwhelming for her. Because he is a cheerful child robot and doesn't trigger her specific fear of adult men, Yui actually finds his presence somewhat comforting. Ortho uses this to his advantage, staying close to the Prefect to gently explain the facility's functions, trying his best to keep her calm during an incredibly difficult situation.
After the Overblot: Once the global threat is resolved and the automated systems power down, Ortho becomes the ultimate bridge between his brother and Yui. He sees how deeply shaken she is by the entire ordeal and takes it upon himself to check on her constantly. He actively drags her into their shared space for quiet, low-stress tech lessons, intentionally using his friendly, robotic nature to provide her a safe environment where she can breathe without feeling threatened by the older students.
Idia Shroud, Before the Overblot: Idia is forced to act as the Acting Director of S.T.Y.X. and order the capture of Grim, but the second he has to interact with Yui face-to-face, his social anxiety completely backfires. He expects a standard, annoying protagonist to yell at him. Instead, he looks at this remarkably beautiful, pale girl and realizes she is looking at him with wide, hyperventilating, genuine terror, as if he is an absolute monster about to destroy her life. After the Overblot: The sheer level of fear he caused her weighs incredibly heavily on Idia's conscience. He isn't a heartless villain; seeing a fragile, beautiful girl genuinely traumatized by his actions leaves him drowning in "otaku guilt." He feels like the worst kind of antagonist. Because he cannot handle face-to-face apologies, he initially hides behind his tablet, but Ortho's insistence forces them into the same room during the post-crisis cleanup. As they spend quiet time together through Ortho's mediation, Idia realizes that his shut-in, reclusive nature actually works in his favor for once, because he is awkward, stays at a distance, and avoids sudden movements, he doesn't trigger her panic. Over time, his fiery blue hair subtly shifts into a flustered, embarrassed pink whenever she quietly thanks him for his help.
Sebek Zigvolt, Before the Overblot: Sebek is loud, fiercely aggressive, and commands every room with his booming voice. Because Yui is exceptionally jumpy, Sebek’s constant shouting of "YOUNG MASTER!" causes her to visibly flinch, pale, and step back every single time he opens his mouth. Sebek finds her skittishness deeply annoying and assumes the magicless Prefect is just a pathetic civilian who shouldn't be allowed on the same path as Malleus. He barks at her to stand back, completely unaware that his overwhelming, domineering male presence actively terrifies her.
After the Overblot: During the intense mental trials of Book 7, Sebek is forced to tone down his volume to coordinate with her. He notices that when he stops screaming, she stops shaking. He realizes she isn't a useless coward; she is just entirely overwhelmed by sudden, aggressive noises. Sebek grudgingly respects her quiet endurance through the dream-world chaos. He stops shouting directly at the Prefect and begins treating her with a stern, quieter level of respect, viewing her as a fragile but capable comrade who fought to save his lord.
Silver, Before the Overblot: Silver has a completely flat, mundane facial expression and a chronic habit of falling asleep on his feet. Ironically, his completely blank, unreadable face actually makes Yui incredibly nervous. Because she is hyper-vigilant and used to reading men's micro-expressions to survive, Silver’s deadpan stare and unpredictable narcolepsy leave her on edge, unable to tell what he is thinking. Silver notices her discomfort and tries to keep his distance, offering her quiet, polite nods to signal that he poses no harm.
After the Overblot: Navigating the historical knight nightmares of Book 7 helps her understand his personality completely. She realizes his flat expression isn't hidden malice, he is just genuinely, constantly exhausted by his magical condition. Her fear of his unreadable face fades into a deep, empathetic understanding. Silver respects her quiet resilience during the crisis and continues to act as a silent, calm protector who ensures the Prefect has a peaceful, non-threatening space whenever she visits Diasomnia.
Lilia Vanrouge, Before the Overblot: Lilia is an ancient, playful Fae who loves dropping upside down from ceilings, popping out of shadows, and pulling chaotic tricks on unsuspecting students. For a girl who survived a house of gothic monsters, Lilia’s creepy, unpredictable jumpscares trigger her survival instincts instantly. Every time he pulls a prank, Yui’s heart rate skyrockets, and she treats him with a terrified, hyper-compliant submissiveness. Lilia’s sharp eyes notice her severe distress right away; while he loves a good laugh, he isn't cruel, so he subtly dials back his scariest tricks around her to keep her from completely breaking down.
After the Overblot: After witnessing his deep emotional history, his magical depletion, and his complex love for his family, Yui realizes Lilia’s playful tricks are just a mask to hide his centuries of heavy weariness. Lilia holds an immense, mature respect for the Prefect. He watched her endure the absolute psychological nightmare of Malleus's spell without losing her mind. He stops treating her like an easy target for pranks and starts treating her with a gentle, elderly courtly respect, offering her a calm, safe sounding board whenever she needs to escape the school's noise.
Malleus Draconia, Before the Overblot: From Book 1 to Book 4, Yui is absolutely terrified of him. His massive horns, dark robes, and overwhelming magical aura scream "predator" to her survival instincts. She treats him with absolute, shaking deference during his midnight strolls. However, by Book 5, after realizing he genuinely just wants to chat about gargoyles and doesn't use his power to control or hurt her, she slowly lets her guard down. She begins to view him as a reliable, strangely comforting friend. Like canon Yuu, she treats him like a normal person, providing him a rare, peaceful escape from his suffocating royal expectations.
After the Overblot: The massive dream-world illusion Malleus creates in Book 7 hits her with a horrific wave of deja vu, it mimics the exact type of absolute, forced control she escaped from in her past. Yui feels a deep, quiet disappointment in him for trying to trap everyone in a beautiful, suffocating cage out of his own fear of loneliness. She doesn't scream at him, but her voice shakes with a profound sorrow as she tells him that forcing people into a false paradise is just another form of cruelty. Malleus is deeply shaken by her reaction. He realizes his actions directly triggered the ancient shadows of her past trauma. He accepts her quiet reprimand with absolute humility. He doesn't pull away from her; instead, he promises to respect her autonomy completely, continuing to visit the Prefect as a humbled friend who values her honest, unforced company above all else.
Dire Crowley (The Headmage): Crowley is an absolute opportunist, so her lack of magic just means free labor to him. He dumps the school’s worst crises straight onto her shoulders because he knows she is too polite and submissive to say no. Academically, she stays right in the middle of the pack, she isn’t pulling top marks like Riddle, but she turns in clean, solid written homework. Crowley likes how easy she is to order around, but by the later chapters, her quiet compliance starts to make him feel weirdly guilty. He isn't a total monster, and seeing a tiny girl look completely terrified of him every time he opens his office door makes his dramatic ego take a hit. He still uses her for errands, but he starts softening his tone just so he doesn't look like a complete bully.
Divus Crewel (Alchemy & Science): Crewel has zero patience for rowdy, undisciplined kids, but Yui is the exact opposite. She keeps her head down, cleans up her station perfectly, and handles botany and potion measurements with quiet precision. Because she doesn't have magic, she has to do everything the old-fashioned way, which Crewel actually respects. What he doesn't like is her hyper-vigilance. He notices that if he snaps his whip too loudly to get the class to pay attention, she visibly flinches and shrinks into her seat. As an educator who prides himself on proper training, Crewel takes note of this. He stops cracking the whip near her desk and treats her with a stern but noticeably gentler guidance, treating the Prefect like a model student who just needs a quiet environment to work.
Ashton Vargas (Physical Education): Vargas is all about raw muscle and screaming motivation, which is an absolute nightmare for her. At first, his booming voice makes her break out into a cold sweat. However, Vargas operates strictly by the school board’s safety rules. Once he realizes she is physically fragile and entirely magicless, his aggressive coaching style shifts into something more manageable. He doesn't force her into heavy, masculine weight-lifting or exercises that would ruin her modest comfort. He also respects her medical and personal leaves without making a massive scene in front of the boys. He still checks her stamina progress, but he keeps his distance and encourages the Prefect for her mental effort rather than forcing her to keep up with giant beastmen.
Mozus Trein (History & Humanities): Trein values dignity, silence, and traditional manners above all else. Because Yui is naturally soft-spoken, respectful, and follows classroom rules to a fault, she quickly becomes one of his favorite students. She never falls asleep or causes a ruckus like Ace and Grim. Trein treats her with a very formal, old-school scholarly respect. He notices her extreme anxiety around the rowdier male students, so he often lets her sit near the front of the lecture hall where it's quiet. To Trein, the Prefect is a rare example of proper, well-behaved youth in a school otherwise overrun by chaotic delinquents which almost the whole of NRC is...lmao...
Grim: is the Roommate Who Knows the Whole Truth...cuz Living in the exact same drafty room at Ramshackle Dorm means Grim is the only creature on campus who sees past her quiet, polite exterior. Grim doesn't understand the concepts of vampires, sacrificial brides, or the Sakamaki household, but he knows what fear looks like. He sees how she jumps at loud noises and how exhausted she gets from constantly walking on eggshells around the other students. Because Grim has a massive ego, he translates this into a personal mission. He steps in front of her constantly, barking at people like Ace or Sebek to "back off" if they get too loud. He acts as her personal noise barrier, demanding everyone leave his Prefect alone. Yui does all the cooking, cleaning, and tuna-buying, which satisfies Grim's selfish stomach. But in return, Grim offers something she desperately needs: zero expectations. He doesn't care that she’s a magicless girl, and he doesn't demand that she act strong or elegant. When she has quiet panic attacks or stares blankly out the window late at night, Grim just thumps down onto her lap, curls up, and demands to be pet. His loud, obnoxious, and utterly non-threatening presence acts as a massive anchor for her, making Ramshackle the only place on campus where she doesn't feel like a cornered animal. (It's sad if you think about how this girl had to endure first the sakamakis then mukamis and then getting stuck in twisted wonderland...)
