‘Are all children of Alice this impatient?’ He asks, hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath.

‘I’m the only child of Alice,’ you cross your arms, ‘what is so important that you had me waiting almost an hour for?’

Max pulled out six cards from his pocket and you couldn’t help but laugh.

‘A card trick?’

Max wagged his finger at you, ‘not just a card trick, a magic card trick.’ He says as he spreads out the six cards in his hands so there was three in each hand, backs facing to you. ‘Now pick a set.’ You shrug and point to the set in his right hand, he shows you what you thought was going to be a standard ace, king or queen, but instead these cards were painted over with a white rabbit, a hat and a ‘drink me’ vial that had words crawled across them that read:

‘Will you go…’ you trialed off as you looked up at max, seeing him starting to sift his weight on his feet as he nonverbally gestured towards the other set of three, with you pointed to, that revealed the same hat, vial and rabbit but with the words;

‘out with me.’ You finished letting all the words come together. ‘Will you go out with me?’ You said all together all the while looking at max who smiled sheepishly at you, tucking the cards back into his pockets.

‘Thought you’d never ask.’ He said in a way that was meant to come across as a playful tone but you could practically hear the nerves in his voice as it wavered, so you cut him the slack by pulling him in by the lapels of his coat and pecking him on the nose.

‘Of course I’ll go out with you, I’d be mad not to.’ You winked and max got a good laugh out of your pun and held you close to him, resting his head against yours and sighing.

You: my dad would say everyone was wrong, leaves no room for you to argue in, raising his voice just to tell you that you wouldn’t win in an argument against him, verbally chiselling away at your self esteem until there is nothing left.

Blade huffs as he looks down at her, face unchanging. ‘What’re you doing here.’

‘Watching you glare at a critter that is created to look like you.’ Silver Wolf replied, ‘I thought you thought it was cute, what’s with the sudden change.’

‘I didn’t call it cute.’ Blade responds, folding his own arms over his chest.

Silver Wolf shrugs. ‘(Name) thought you thinking the critter was cute cute.’ She watches blade from the corner of her eye, seeing his body tense for a minute before it releases that tension as he looks back at you, the changes in his expression were minuscule but that didn’t mean they weren’t there and a smile stretched across her face.

‘That is their opinion.’ Blade replied but as his eyes went back to you and Sesame cake, he could only find slight amusement when the little critter watched you with a fixed expression, listening to your every word intently like he would. Words didn’t necessarily prove anything, not when actions or gestures do more justice to showing care. He continued to watch you give Sesame Cake an flower crown, holding them close to you as you giggle at how cute they were, taking pictures and spamming it to his phone that vibrated like mad in his pocket; mostly followed with texts like;

‘LOOK AT THEM! IT’S YOU!’

‘OUR CHILD?! (Plz present dna test immediately, oh wait you are the father)

You found the excuse stupid because you thought that everyone was over saying that every child is a carbon copy of their parent, whether it’s being the child of Gothel or the child of the White Rabbit, but apparently after everything that happened nothing really changed, systemically sure but people were bound to have their biases and they knew when not to speak about them or knew when to. ‘Stop it.’ You grabbed his hand, intertwining your fingers with his, ‘who even cares what anyone else thinks about you, I thought we went over this, people will talk out of jealousy, spite, anything to make themselves sound better.’ You could see the conflict in his eyes as he tried desperately to find reasoning to stay in his own mindset of believing that everyone was right about him.

‘Who cares what Bobby the kid of prince john has to say, his father sucks his thumb and cries for his mummy, who cares what Nathan and Jason the sons of twiddledee and twiddledum who have to remind people that their fathers actually have separate personalities and aren’t extremely codependent on one another.’ You continued as Max laughed, agreeing to the last part about Twiddledee and Twiddledum, having had them follow him at one point but their attention spans didn’t last long enough to form real friendships outside of each other.

‘You got me there.’ Max replied and bumps his shoulder against your own, ‘thanks for getting my head out of my misery.’ You merely shrugged, not wanting the bring attention to the fact that his shoulder was still pressed against yours longer then necessary. ‘Just doing what a partner should do to keep you above water.’ You replied, glad to see Max at least having a moment for himself that no one else could tarnish.

Max smiled at you and squeezed your hand, grateful that you were stubborn enough to stay with him, unswayed by the words others hurled towards him, acting as his reminder that the thoughts of others are born out of unfounded biases that privilege provides for them, yet also let him speak truths to himself in front of a mirror in hopes that one day they’d take hold and give him some power. ‘What would I do without you?’ He asks honestly, wondering what he would do if you hadn’t entered his life with the intention of lighting his way to not be at the service of others to prove his difference to his father, telling him that people would only take advantage of him for it.

You press a kiss to his cheek. ‘Let’s not think about things that haven’t happened and be present with each other instead.’

another disgusting book getting an adaptation before an actual good one

I fucking hate the society we live in where slop and the glorification of rape is being upheld by middle age women who have nothing but a rose toy and a fuck ton of delusions. (Seeing as they are the ones defending this shit the most)

Imagine not seeing that the book glorifies rape, and here you are defending it…you probably tell victims a whole lot of fucked up stuff I’m guessing.

Dark romance shouldn’t glorify or romanticise rape or obsessive stalking that borderlines into a fucking kidnapping and a side order of Stockholm Syndrome.

It should be anything but that. Yet it’s going to be shown to people who have less awareness and media literacy than a fucking rock.

Kang was the original big bad I can attest to that but now with everything that has happened since, marvel has scrambled to find a new big bad, but forgot to connect the films that should earn a big team up film yet they didn’t.

This isn’t infinity war at all and yet they want it to be with how hard they are pushing Steve down our throats (Sam is literally right there!)

Me and my dad agree that there’s no tether here at all, nothing to hold the movies together to make it believable that they’ll come together and fight, none at all which is probably why half of the characters seem to pop up out of nowhere.

The etiquette of a lot of people is disgusting.

They don’t help boost engagement with the stuff you put out, instead they complain and nip pick and things that aren’t there, incorrectly tag their complaint posts on purpose, bash and accuse people of using ai in their fics, spam hate, tell people to kill themsleves.

Also them when the authors/artists they’ve bullied and harassed on the platform quit due to treatment and lack of engagement of the hard work they put in:
