...goddamn I wasn't joking that Summer was gonna let me do more art stuff, huh? 🧍‍♂️

Tho this wasn't too much! Really loved this album cover for Gorillaz's "The Now Now" (mainly with the lil animation that comes with it), and after listening to some of the songs from there having a lot of B vibes, figured it'd be fun to try and draw it with my guy in place of 2D!

And tho it was a bit of a challenge getting the style down (mainly with the shading cause o u g h ), was real fun to do and think it looks real nice!! Kinda helped having B's right side be covered with hair, and hey honestly was pretty simple to do, and was especially fun getting the warbly effect on the second one cause hehe lasso tool go brrr-

But ye not much else to say, just wanted to draw a quick think and bring more of B back after my lil drawing break with him!! Still love my MarkCUsona, wanna post more of him, least maybe some doodles, and hey lemme know if you guys are still interested in him! Might do a lil something with him soon...we'll see 👀👀

Anywho here's the OG sketch below! Plus the ref i was using. ...Plus the lil colors in the corner when I was testing to change the colors to be more B's colors (orange and blue) but it didn't look good so I just stuck with the og ref colors since they look so much nicer. ...yeag-

And as a treat for surviving that 24/7 Hell, I decided to kick off the Summer with doing a redraw of a piece I did back in 2023!

I actually did post this back then (which can be found HERE if you're curious), reason being was when both Iron Lung AND Edge of Sleep was announced to be in production, so I decided to do a lil crossover of it! ....and by GOD is it horribly inaccurate now! :D

Course it'd be that way tho, back then we didn't have ANY shots from TEOS released yet (not like Amazon wanted to promote it anyway 🫩) and i'm pretty sure this was just when we had the title reveal for Iron Lung and that ONE ☝️ BTS shot, thus what I based the Convict's design on, and for Dave I just went off of the general design everyone used :']

But HEY! Figured that now BOTH shows/movie is out ans we got actual designs, it'd be fun to redraw it to make it more canon accurate! And y'know just in general improve the piece as a whole cause o u g h it's clear i didn't know what the Hell i was doing rendering wise-

I'm really damn happy with the redraw tho!! Felt good to draw more of Simon AND Dave (which i haven't done too often huh), was fun to give them better lighting cause ough, and even just adding better effects, like their eyes! Gotta stay on brand and do some freaky eye shit whenever I can 😎

But yeah, with that said i'm gonna be working on SO much shit this Summer, but least now it's gonna be stuff I actually wanna work on!! Hopefully gonna try and do more with B again, so...keep an eye out for that 👀👀
