Anyone else feel like all of the pent-up rage and frustration over years of fascism and genocide is taking a toll on their health?

anger is a pain. treat it like the injury it is:
you feel angry (you feel pain)
stop, take a moment to gather yourself and breathe deeply (stop, take a moment to apply first aid to your wound)
find the root cause of your anger; what brought your anger about and how come? (find what caused your injury; what hurt you, what type of wound?)
what can you do to regain control? try not to fuel the anger with violence; mitigate by being gentle to yourself and others (what can you do to keep you safe from further and future injury? what further treatment do you need? try not to aggravate your wound; be gentle and cautious)
accept you've done all you can, continue to breathe deeply, and find comfort away from anger and violence (accept you have done all you can and continue to take care of yourself)
emphasizing these tags loudly:
I love that the internet saw people comparing women and other alienated groups of people and went, “they’re dating,” and, “they support each other.” We’re improving as a society.
Does anyone know who these artists are?? They’re brilliant and I’d like to credit them!!
THIS IS HOW TO TAKE A TRASH OPINION COMIC AND MAKE IT BETTER. THANK YOU.
The best genre to ever have existed
These improved my day
GAY RIGHTS
these are the only things in the world i find worth crying for becayse it’s so fcking cute and wholesome wtf
I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE OG ARTIST GREW OUT OF THEIR I’M NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS PHASE
AND NOW THE GIRLS ARE CANON
The “guys I respect” artist also came out as non-binary, generally got more accepting. It’s growth.
I think a lot of people were raised being told that things are bad with no explanation as to why they’re bad and I don’t think I know enough about psychology to make any big statements about that
but anyways I think a lot of people see cheating on your partner as bad because they were just told that sex outside of your partner is bad or something but really cheating on your partner is bad because you had an agreement based on trust with them and you broke that trust so like why should they trust you with anything else now
if a person refers to themself as a “silly little guy” they are usually filled with a deep evil
nosferatu? no. tuferatu. no es mi problema.

Unironically I think the early to mid 20s age group in America has unbelievably bad consent boundaries on all levels and so much language to defend it but this makes me sound like elon musk if I say it however the commonality of someone who will be like “I had 47 panic attacks and it’s your fault” if you tell them no is insane
I rejected someone and got called “the scariest person I’ve ever met” with so much therapy speak interspersed like alright okay alright okay alright okay
“You just say whatever you’re thinking and I don’t know how to handle it” was verbatim part of this conversation. Also everyone hates to see an autistic bitch
When I was in this age bracket, there was a huge emphasis on improving consent culture via graceful rejection, and it's gone by the wayside. Which sucks.
Twice in my youth (once in high school and once in college) I was in situations where I was asking someone out and I could tell they were calculating in their heads the risks of rejecting me, and both times I said, out loud, "you can say no, I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't prepared for either answer." And then they said no. This wasn't some spark of special wisdom I had - I knew to do it because feminist conversations among my age group brought it up regularly. This isn't happening nearly enough anymore.
More recently, I was really glad when we got to "rejection sensitive dysphoria" in my IOP program and it was one of those symptoms where the therapists really emphasized how it affects others. Because it does.
Being someone who cannot handle rejection makes you much more likely to violate boundaries, and yes, that includes sexual ones. Yes, you, reader who has never hurt a fly. If you don't want to stumble backwards into sexually assaulting someone, fix your RSD meltdowns. If you keep them up it's only a matter of time. Because if you're nice enough to interact with, but are known to have RSD meltdowns, guess what happens when your friends and acquaintances need to reject you?
nngh... why do my pronouns hurt?
because youve never used them before.
actually once you do vote by mail once, it feels STUPID that in-person voting is even a thing. getting to sit with your ballot in your house, easily see your options, have time to do research and consider your choice, talk with friends and neighbors about their vote. it's especially so for small local elections and primaries where you might not have heard about different candidates and really have to ask around, attend local events, or dig into local news stories to find out who they are and what they stand for. but, of course, not allowing voters to easily research and carefully consider their votes is why there is opposition to vote by mail in the first place.
I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like you’re not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. You’re not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. You’re not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Don’t let your ego get in the way.

it’s been an honor serving with you all
wait what the fuck
It's becoming very trendy these days for young people to diagnose themselves with being Cursed by the Pharaohs. Frankly, I'm sick of it. I think it's an insult to what I go through as someone who actually did violate the sacred tomb of the Egyptian royals and went through the process of being legitimately diagnosed by a world-famous archaeologist with a soothing voice and a mysterious past. The Pharaoh's Curse isn't some cute aesthetic you can throw on to get a few likes on Instagram. It's an affliction some of us have to deal with our whole lives, and also afterwards. When Ramses IV successfully kills me, my heart will be eaten by Ammit, Great of Death, and I don't think I should have to pretend to share that with some snot-nosed kid who coughed up a few grains of red, desert sand ONCE.
Okay but as someone who doesn't have an official "Pharoah's curse" diagnosis, but doctors don't believe in curses, and the ones that do have a narrow perception of what a curse means. I got cursed by going into a tomb in the valley of the kings and stole something belonging to the deceased rather than an entire sarcophagus, but if coughing up sand every two hours isn't a Pharoah's curse, than I don't know what is. And are you joking about that Ammit thing? Everyone cursed by a Pharaoh will get their heart eaten by her, that's basic knowledge. Ragebait used to be believable SMH.
"Doctors don't believe in curses" is such a convenient slogan for people who don't have a real curse. Getting a diagnosis was easy. The doctor just appeared in my house, took my hand, stared deep into my eyes and told me that I reminded him of someone. When I woke up from a strange dream, I was diagnosed. It's literally that simple, unless you're just suffering from a simple case of sandbreath. Get off Tumblr, purge yourself with some natron salts, and enjoy being taken up into the Field of Reeds with Osiris when you die
