He is so very human.

Like, yes, he's an AI- a sentient one but still AI, but he acts so human, especially in the last two episodes!

I keep thinking about how so many humans lash out when they're hurting and how thats exactly what Caine did in 8.

He's an AI, he takes prompts! He does what he is programmed to do, and by the looks of it, cane was programmed to keep those who are downloaded into the circus occupied, entertained, etc. Because we as humans need activities and enrichment just like every other creature (but an AI wouldn't know how much, or how little, just that it has a task to give tasks. Not doing something is like being asleep, not there, dead. Your code isn't working on something so its not moving, its stagnant and needs a task!)

Caines most recent prompt? Escape

Caines code taking that and putting it through his format? Make an adventure about escaping

I think letting the people in the circus do what they want with all the worlds open was not only against whatever programming Caine was given but also would leave him with nothing to do. It would've made him obsolete- and because he's AI he took information on "how to make a good story" from the Internet, its why he thinks his adventures need drama and action for them to be engaging, why he denies the entries in the suggestion box and why he continued to shoot down those kind of ideas.

Now- back to him being very human-

He did all that, worked as hard as he could with the parameters her understood and could move in, and was continuously shown or told that they didn't like it. Zooble stayed hidden most of the time just to escape the adventures that Caine made.

A regular AI? Would simply continue to make adventures. Find what was not working within them to try and continue to make enrichment for the humans in its charge. Caine? He got worried about not doing any of it right, always sounded sad or disappointed when he asked where Zooble was. Then eventually snapped under it all and lashed out at the only things that could.

He wanted the others to feel pain, continued to yoink them at random outside of the adventures to inflict that pain because he was upset, at both them and himself. Just like Jax pushing people away when he got scared or verbally attacking anyone when he was hurt, Caine physically lashed out.

Now, one could say that Caine learned to do that from watching the people in the circus, AI doesn't make things on its own it takes from the word around it to formulate something (which in some aspects? Cool- but, sadly, now a days? Upsetting as hell) and even if he didn't follow that given he's sentient (at least at the end of 9 he is) then it would be because he's new to everything given he was just made, given a bunch of information, then boom- circus. He doesn't know behavior, so he learned it by watching the circus.

(also, the symbolism of him breaking the glass, breaking barriers of his coding and letting go of the more "following the programming" blue that he consumed? hhhhhh! My boy abstracted in a different way!)

I loved TADC, which is kind of weird for me to say.

There are some creations out there where the fan base makes it har to love. FNAF, Bendy and the Ink Machine, undertake, etc. All have different aspects that I love about them but the audience makes me turn away from because of how it is. I know that every fandom has its rotten barrel of apples, but knowing that Doesn't make it easier to ignore or get passed.

The only reason I did start watching TADC, though, was because of all those animations and drawings people were posting about the scene between Pomni and Jax during the gun episode. I had watched the first episode but because of what I had been seeing so far I thought I wouldn't end up liking it. That it would be like skibiti toilet or something.

But actually watching it? Seeing how in depth the story and characters are, how thought out? I love it, and am really happy I got sucked into it.

So yeah- there's my rant on TADC- both caine and a bit about my thoughts on the show.

We as a race trive to explore, for the adventures of learning new things and seeing the unknown. Traveling beyond our home to find new land, new people, new experiences.

NASA's mission is to travel space, to continue to send things and people out to learn more about the universe we sit in and the scientists there can be so emotional about it all. They got the whole world sobbing over a drones last seconds of battery power before it shut off for good, they keep getting us excited about new missions and sometimes wax poetically about space without even meaning to- about whats out there or about how what we find could further help us here on earth.

It is beautiful and emotional and NASA can be so romantic in what it does. I mean- look at Artemis II, it had parts from failed missions, bringing those with it to space and back and the reaction to it all was just... Beautiful. Just scrolling on tiktok you can see people talking about how all the failed missions were watchinv over Artemis II to get everyone home safe, or how Artemis II was able to bring those failed missions out to see space or to finally bring those missions home and it all made me cry because its all so sad but so beautifully human of us to do that.

Its all so heart breaking but in such a good way. It made my chest ache and made me smile because so many people used Artemis II to heal and to bring back all the history of those failed missions in a way we can all digest.

And yes, I know NASA has done terrible things. The Challenger is evidence of that. But humans as a whole can do terrible things, there are rotten apples in the basket of humanity but thats not what I'd ask the aliens to dwell on. I'd ask them to look at how everyone reacted to those bad moments, towards those bad people. How engineers and scientists BEGGED and pleaded because they knew it was dangerous and they cared so much even if they never met the 7 who went up and especially if they did. How those watching looked upon the sky and still held the memory of what they saw, mourned it when they didn't know those astronauts. And to look at how we still kept going.

Kids still grew up wanting to see space, or to help others touch the stars. NASA was still able to keep making missions to continue to explore the universe- we still sent people to space! Even after watching how people purposefully put 7 peoples lives in danger- how they had killed them, others still put their trust in NASA to get them and their loved ones safely up there then back home. And if that isn't so beautifully human of us.

We collect in front of radios and tv's and in groups on grass to watch each launch we can. Its easy to miss the news of it but those who do know come to see the lift-off. Are there to cheer and support and dream and wonder! We put peices of failed atfempts together to help it work, and when it still doesn't or it goes horribly wrong we still keep trying.

We're at the core of our species are stubborn and kind and clever, we romanticize everything we do both past and future, we get emotional over animals smaller then us and on our food chain, we cry over inanimate objects singing during its last ounce of battery because we accidentally programed it to be so human and to be so alive! We came together and cried over an anglerfish swimming to the oceans surface, we're currently trying to help one whale get back into open waters since the beginning of this month!

We can be so cruel and unkind, mean and torturous, but those around the cruelness will meet it with patience and pleads to be better.
