Keep in mind, I wrote this while watching Mark’s FNAF 2 stream with a headache. If you catch any mistakes, ignore them or do help me god I am going to explode every last one of you. /affectionate

HAII!! Thank you sm for letting me know! Thank you to everyone who did actually! For some reason my account is allowed to report (question?!) I don’t know why?

But I’ve commented on the post and so far it’s stayed up! The account seems to be a bot account trying to gain traction through popular posts and trying to get you to click on the “read more!” Links but it’s just a corn website.

Clearly, whoever spikes Simon's drink didn't expect him to live past that night, eh?

Would it be spoiler territory to ask if, in the end, the truth behind the accident is revealed? Wouldn't take the blame away from Simon to have unwillingly killed all those people, but at least, him driving while "wasted" is not considered as his fault, when he was just trying to escape a dangerous situation?

(I don't know if my ask makes sense, I'm not English native, lol)

It wouldn’t necessarily be a spoiler since I haven’t figured it out yet AHAHAH, but ideas are so very welcome! I would love to see what other people think or add to this AU if anyone did! :3

I’m thinking Simon comes from a cult and he escaped it (Eden). Then another cult or rival organization comes and tries to bait him and lure him back into that world he escaped from for some reason (maybe leveraging or something)? Not sure! But like I said! Any ideas are welcome! Especially if you find a way to connect the canon with this AU’s “normality”. (There is nothing fantastical about this AU! Purely “modern AU” type universe!)

I think part of what makes this AU so angsty is the fact that I want to keep the aspects and stories of these characters from the original source. Like Grace for example, he will eventually have something similar plague him similar to the canon too! Just like Simon.

Don’t know what yet but I’m taking a break from drawing this AU for a bit while I catch up on commissions and pack orders!

I will DEFINITELY keep the conversation going though hehe!

I haven’t fully fleshed it out but to answer your question: yes! Something he was involved in that he had left behind years ago (Eden) came back to haunt him. He didn’t want to live that life again, and his panic took control, causing the accident. :(

Trips to the science museum were always their favorite thing to look forward to every year for Simon and Grace (and the other science teachers ofc)! Since the school didn’t get a lot of funding, the science museums were the only major field trip they had!

They would split up into their respective tours (Plant exhibit/Planetarium exhibit) and then let the classes roam on their own afterwards (with a buddy of course)!

I would imagine Simon and Grace would show each other new stuff from the other’s exhibits each time. They’ve definitely had moments of intimate eye contact while the other spewed science facts.

For school dances, they’ve definitely been seen eyeing each other as well. It’s a pretty known thing at school between all of their students that they know something’s up with them. And you know middle schoolers. They thought they were so cute together LMAO, (pulling from experience, teachers were shipped together especially if they were known to be “close friends”).

TW: Disturbing Descriptions/Forced Amputation

Basically, it happened during a get together. Details of that event aren’t clear but it was a sort of party/going out for teachers and staff.

Simon’s red wine gets spiked and is ushered by someone into their truck. He didn’t really know who they were and who ever it was was very insistent on him getting into their truck to drive somewhere. It was hazy and he had nothing else to do, it seemed alright at the time.

For reasons I will not say yet, he realizes something is wrong and, once he has the chance at a gasoline stop, he gets into the drivers seat and tries his best to escape and get back home.

Obviously, the effects of his spiked drink hadn’t worn off and he was in a state of panic that he was swerving off and on the road. Unfortunately, he ends up ramming into the opposite lane and t-boning a car on a tight turn.

The truck he was in took most of the blow. So he managed to get out of it with only some bruising, some cuts, and probably a concussion. He tried to crawl away from the crash but another car runs him over and, not only gets stuck into the pile up, but it stops directly on top of his already injured left arm.

He smells gasoline and knows he’ll die if he doesn’t move from under it, so he grabs a shard of glass and cuts and pulls at his arm. It’s rough and animalistic, but he just wants to live, he could care about his injuries after he’s safe.

And he does, he successfully (and morbidly) had left his left arm behind right before the pile up combusted into flames. It isn’t until he’s crawling away that he hears them. The people in the cars and their gut curdling screams. There were children. And he saw them. He saw them as they burned up. As their hair singed and their faces mutilated. (At this point in the story, he might be hallucinating or he might not but that can be up to your interpretation)!

He saw cars pull up and stop, some backed away. He tried telling them to help the others. To do something since he couldn’t. He could try but he knew he was useless. He’d only end up getting himself killed if he tried. It was selfish of him, he knows that, but what else could he do?
