After placing the presents under the tree last night (when the kids had gone to bed) some of my relatives expressed concern about Pandolf sleeping in that room—“You sure he’s not going to chew and damage the gifts?” I reassured them that my extremely-anxious-to-please dog would die a thousand deaths before touching an item he has not been given written-and-signed permission to touch.

So of course I woke up at like 3am in a fit of worry—what if this is the one time in his life Pan decides to misbehave and tear through all the presents? What if My Dog Ruins Christmas?? I quietly went to check on him and from the top of the stairs I saw that his bed was worryingly empty. And I found him lying under the tree near the gifts, but with his back turned on them, in an attitude of “this shiny beribboned treasure has been entrusted to me, Pandolf, and if any thieves try to enter the house I will protect it with my life.” I can’t believe I doubted him! The only initiatives this dog takes are taken out of worried loyalty.

Of course the only potential thieves ended up being one stray chicken, and Pampérigouste.

This could have been a Christmas disaster actually because Pandolf would give his beloved llama every present in the world (and the tree) if she wished, but fortunately she was just knocking on the door to ask if we had any orange peelings for her (we did).

with the amount of active followers i have there should be no reason i hardly get any traction on my calls for help other then people straight up ignoring them. let’s try again. after being homeless for 9 months after leaving an abusive relationship and a very turbulent traumatic year, i have finally secured housing. the funds that i have saved up are going towards first months rent as well as transportation for when i start working (i have already been applying to jobs and even have an interview the day after i land). i had to dip into funds for winter clothes because i am moving to a state with extremely cold weather temperatures that i have never had to worry about preparing for. i made a previous post about raising funds for for my plane ticket but totally forgot about checked baggage. every reblog seriously counts, and so does every $1. my donation links are below. thank you.

ive shared the pronunciation before but again Očhéthi Šakówiŋ is said Oh-sheh- tea Shah-ko-Wen i am from the Lakota oyate (la-ko-dah oh-yah-tay) i am Oglala(ohg-la-la), and Sicangu(she-chahn-goo). the sh and ch sounds arent a full shh or chh sound but softer and sort of half way between a sh and a s sound/ ch and c sound.
