There is only one mob found in all three dimensions. They speak in distorted words. They can teleport so quickly that no projectile will ever hit them. They roam freely. They roam in a world of villages, of bastions, of mansions, of strongholds, of mine shafts, of fortresses, and of buildings old and vast. Something built these structures.
There is only one mob left that retains the ability to build. To create. Endermen place their blocks haphazardly. Their actions appear random, but they can build all the same. They are the only living creature left that has the power to build. At least until you come along. You are also capable of living in all three dimensions. It hurts Endermen to be perceived by you. You are the only one that can hurt them in this way.
These creatures live in a place called the end, on tiny broken islands in an endless sea of void. Cities can be found on these broken islands. Cities and ships, littered with incredibly high level items. All built with purpose, a purpose that you might never get to understand. There are no people left here. There are no notes, no signs. Nothing left behind to tell the story of what happened but the buildings frozen in time.
The end is the only place survival players can obtain flight. The end is the only place creative players can easily die. The void can kill gods. It is the only thing that can kill gods. It cannot kill the Ender Dragon. You can kill the Ender Dragon. You can bring the Dragon back. You are not the first person to kill the Ender Dragon. You are not the first person to bring it back. Those who came and built cities, those who built ships in the void, those who figured out how to craft wings. They killed the Ender Dragon too. Every ship in the end has a dragonâs head. There are so many ships.
Those who came before you did everything you can do, and more. It did not save them. Yet here you are. You are not special in any singular ability, and yet, for some reason, you have made it here. You have survived. You are here, you are alive, and you are still creating. You are building, changing the world once more, taking apart the old and ushering in something new. Forming bonds in ways no other creatures can.
Those that came before you killed the Ender Dragon countless times. They brought the dragon back countless times.
And yet.
When you kill the Ender Dragon for the very first time, she gives you a gift. She has died countless times before, to countless hands. You arenât any different, and yet you are. Because you are the first one to receive her egg. It is entrusted to you. There is only one egg. You cannot get it in creative, you can only get it from her. She has chosen you, out of so, so many. She will not tell you why. You are left to find your own answers. To create your own answers. Thatâs what the gameâs all about.

Hey so I still see people utterly baffled by how religious fundies (still a majority in America and moreso its senate) react on certain issues so uhhh is it actually not common knowledge what the antichrist is all about? You guys know his defining characteristic is ending war, right? That heâs foretold to unite the world under his leadership by preaching global peace and solving basically every single problem in the world? So you know when you try to talk to these people about equality and togetherness they literally believe thatâs what makes you an agent of the devil right???
im sorry what. so. ok im assuming they think that this is all like. to gain trust and then take over or something? because.
Yes, heâs called the âantichristâ because heâs an imposter Jesus and the majority of the world will love him when he ends all class divides and erases all borders, creating one world government with him at the top. Thatâs the ânew world orderâ theyâre terrified of. But they think heâll oppress true Christian believers who see through his ruse, which is why theyâre constantly looking for signs that theyâre being discriminated against and panic when they lose any control over government. This is why they fear diversity, immigration, socialized anything. The less religious right are pretty clearly still running on the same logic; they might drop some of the spiritual lore but this is where they get the idea that all progressivism leads to the ârealâ fascism. Some believe the antichrist isnât a literal person either but just that entire set of beliefs, so everyone protesting against war and trying to feed the hungry is a *collective* antichrist.
So from the notes it turns out people are MUCH less familiar with all this than I suspected and thatâs honestly kind of alarming, guys, you should really really pay attention to things that affect so much of this country. No these are absolutely not obscure or fringe beliefs, these are MAINSTREAM with megachurches, Trump voters, the GOP and a vast proportion of the wealthy. Alex Jones and multiple Fox News hosts openly believe word for word what I described here.
And yeah as several people pointed out it isnât even explicitly in the bible, but something some radicals pieced together in maybe only the last century. My uncles all believe it to the letter and they all believe itâs what the Bible is âsupposedâ to be communicating.
A lot of people are also confused as to why they would believe the peace and unity are villainous things and what the difference even is then between the âantichristâ and actual Jesus, which brings me to another thing I realize some folks CRITICALLY overlook about American Christianity, which is that they do not believe in good or bad deeds. They believe the same deed can be right or wrong strictly according to whether or not itâs performed by a believer with Godâs stamp of approval. Like, they KNOW the Satanic Church and Witch Covens do community service or donate to cancer research and they are not confused, surprised, bitter or embarrassed by that at all. Itâs exactly what theyâre taught to expect. They believe the forces of Satan do primarily âgoodâ things so people will think heâs just as good or better than God. So if a pastor heals a sick child with a prayer then thatâs good, but if a âwitchâ heals the same sick child with âmagicâ (not something I believe exists, but they do) then thatâs a false miracle from the devil and the child was better off dying because now everyone involved is a sinner who deserves hell. Theyâre taught to view you as a ridiculous fool if you donât grasp this difference, and every single argument you might make is a part of the satanic trickery.
After all, they think our entire existence on this Earth is an insignificant speck in the grand scheme of things. The suffering in the world isnât a bug to them, but a feature that God set up to test everyoneâs worthiness, teach them lessons and filter out the faithless, so they actively do not believe itâs always morally right in itself to help people or save lives. Rather, certain people are just intended to suffer and die and it can be MORE wrong to help them.
Sorry to put this big ass thing on your dashboards again but Iâm downright awestruck by the notes. Thereâs 15,500 of them at the time of this reblog and almost zero disagreement, just hundreds of people expressing absolute terror that they didnât realize they were living under the thumb of a doomsday cult, and Iâm really really sorry for that because I really did not expect to be the bearer of that news to so many. If you havenât looked at the notes for yourself though, theyâre pretty eye opening even to me, especially the next most common type of response on it:

I actually wasnât raised religious AT ALL, and it was still impossible for me to not hear this shit constantly in the 80âČs and 90âČs from basically everyone outside my immediate family. Itâd even crop up on television and radio stations that werenât even supposed to be christian-oriented. Just boom, thereâs an evangelist suddenly talking about how Only God is Allowed to End War and Satan Takes the Form of Kindness, like these were just normal banal perspectives to toss in between a relationship advice segment and the latest movie reviews. Iâm really proud of every person saying they escaped from that indoctrination and actually feel much better and more hopeful about the whole thing. It might not be fixed completely in our lifetimes but clearly it is fixable.

The costuming choices in Hadestown regarding neckwear are just super interesting to me. The first notable division is the fact that the main characters all have some form of neckwear, and the ensemble, or chorus members, do not. However, it goes further than that. The female goddesses, (Persephone and the Muses) all wear black chokers. The mortals (Orpheus and Eurydice) both have bandanas. And the male gods (Hermes and Hades) both wear necktiesâ except Hades loses his necktie in Act 2. This is possibly to demonstrate the fact that he is meant to be viewed more as a man than a god in this part of the show, as he is called a man many more times in the second half of the show than in the first. In Act 2, Hades calls himself an old man on multiple occasions, and Orpheus compares Hades to himself, saying that he is also âa man, in love with a woman.â The Fates also warn that he may be viewed as a âheartless manâ, as they sing about the conflict between his human feelings and kingly duties in Word to the Wise. The shift in lyrics and the change in costuming are reflections of each other.
All in all, the details of the neckwear and what they symbolize are just absolutely fascinating to me, and itâs yet another demonstration of how incredibly well thought-out this show truly is.

Satan is Gay - This is the most controversial short story I've ever written. I will say that I don't agree with the use of the word "homosexual" in the prompt, but I stand by the story itself.

Once again, we see the succinct power of the Demeter section and the punch it delivers with so little description. We scarcely know anyoneâs name, but we still know their danger, we know what the captain now sits on the ship withâhis terror, his fatigued devotion to duty, and the undead monster man himself. We know the log has gone into a bottle for safekeeping. He canât write with bound hands on the helm.
And now, we get to wonder: what does Dracula do with this, an empty ship and the last (barely) living morsel aboard? I imagine he now constantly walks abroad. Idling. Chatting. Thanking the captain so kindly for the fine cuisine on his cruise. Maybe he feigns ignorance over whether he was thoughtful enough to snap the menâs necks before he dumped the corpses overboard or if, silly him, he forgot to gift them euthanasia and they are now all waterlogged undead, stalking along the ocean floor, gnawing sea life as they trudge in search of a shore.Â
Because Dracula being Dracula, he wonât resist a good slow knife twist when itâs down to a one-on-one intimate sadism session.Â
Oh captain, my captain, you sound like a good man. Like everyone else in the Countâs path, you donât deserve what comes next.

D) All of the above, but you agree upon making a new legend. One just for the water which is grave and home. Dead men tell no tales, but they do drink deep. A story begins to flit among the living, of places a ship dare not cross by night. There are strange things swimming in sunless water now. Things that scale the hull like lizards and siphon a body like leeches. But at least the strange things have the decency to kill a man outright. There are worse things than dying as a man. You show them so as you open your mouth, pocked with barnacles and dripping seawater.
