Since Pride Month just started in the US, I wanna talk about something I heard recently from someone who is an ally and was well meaning but misinformed:

There are no trans children getting gender affirming surgery. The very rare, less than .04% are teenagers, getting surgery are almost entirely chest related and almost entirely cis-male, GETTING REDUCTION SURGERY TO AFFIRM THEIR GENDER GIVEN AT BIRTH. Study linked.

Healthcare is a FOR PROFIT business in the US. Doctors are currently letting women who need abortions bleed out, get sepsis, and DIE because they are afraid of losing their medical license. You think that Doctors, nurses, entire surgical teams, entire hospitals, pharmacies, rehabilitation specialists, and licensed therapists are all in cahoots and risking their medical careers for what most surgeons would consider OPTIONAL surgery and not GENDER AFFIRMING HEALTHCARE? With the no insurance?

I care about her blatant transandrophobia and her racism that she refuses to acknowledge.

Not to mention the sexual harassment allegations, although im taking those with a grain of salt bc the whole situation is weird and complicate.

My husband used to be a HUGE fan of hers. He literally deleted tumblr for MONTHS after learning about shit bc he was devestated. I genuinely liked a lot of her you tube analyses.

I tried to genuinely explain transandrophobia to her bc a lot of people WERE being assholes without explaining shit, only to be fucking dismissed and have her followers harass me for ages.

Is the fact that she got banned when others who do similar bullshit dont transmisogyny? Yes. But saying she didn't deserve it is simply not true.

A moment of silence for the trans men with perfectly treatable conditions who were allowed to die to avoid violating "modesty" rules.

So, you think that men with uteruses are funny? You think trans men with uteruses and intersex men with uteruses are a fucking joke? Something absurd, shocking, amusing?

trans and intersex men who are excluded when the topic of periods, hygienic and medical care that mainly involve people who are born with female attributes

i’m not sure why this is even a point of contention in the discussion. your issue is with wording. you’re mad that they don’t specifically say they’re referring to cis men. you’re mad that “men” is a synonym for cis men and cis men only, (which i agree is a problem within itself— if you’re talking abt trans men say trans men, if you’re talking about cis men say cis men, if you’re talking about both say men) you’re not actually mad about the jokes. cuz they’re true. if cis men experienced all these things, they’d be a lot less socially stigmatized, there would be higher quality healthcare and sympathy for those going through these things. like the whole point of the joke is that if cis men could get pregnant, abortion pills would probably be given out like viagra, upon request. trans men being able to experience pregnancy doesn’t have this same result, so obviously, the joke is not referring to us.

This shit is aimed at those who have never had to experience the pain and discomfort having a vagina can bring. Being this nitpicky over what is essentially men having their eyes opened to the female experience (which is not a bad thing, mind you) is ridiculous. These are silly meme videos and whatnot at this point, but GOOD. I hope more men experience the amount of pain anyone with a uterus experiences!

Let them be subjected to this shit, then maybe we'll get louder voices speaking in our favor one day!

for the invisibility of transmascs, trans men or intersex men, i want to argue that it does affect us by the way we are treated after the fact, when those jokes are made we still get punished for not conforming to our birth sex, when we’re used for content we still get harassed online by tons, when we act the way society tells us to they still put us in the category as women and not the gender we are if that makes sense, (like most trans men who have been murdered have told to be femicide despite it clearly being transandrophobia and thats the part that upsets me, im not trying to be rude)

but i would also like to say that saying i’m “bitching”about something that might help is still kind of disheartening considering that alot of the times, the same things that MIGHT help are the same things that MIGHT harm too. but when anyone who goes through this talks about it we are called bitchy or whiny or dramatic so that our statements can be debunked. (also im not sure what you mean pick a side but if you could explain please do) i don’t want to sound rude or anything thats just the way i see it, thank you for giving your opinions about this whole debacle, i really like to study and make debates despite my social anxiety

we need to talk about internet safety, media literacy, and the massive abrupt infighting in the trans community.

im going to try and talk about this respectfully, since i am transmasc and i cannot speak for other transmascs, transfems or any queer group or marginalized group that i mention in this post (i luv all you guys btw mwah)

however it is absolutely heartbreaking to see posts like this more and more often than not. the person whom this commenter is replying to spoke about disliking the fact that the OP was posting anti-transmasc jax subjects in the transmasc jax tags, they were pretty pissed off i skimmed through most of the comment because it was pretty long, and then the commenter here replied with this.

so im not here to talk about the commenters or the original poster but rather the things in it, for example: anti-transfem and anti-transmasc rhetoric (i think you would call it that idk lmk)

alot of the time when dealing with infighting in the trans community there comes times where either side will use their birth sex to insult a person, use malgendering or just blatantly be sexist or intersexist in their own right. which is absolutely disheartening, i really don’t remember this much transandrophobia and transmysoginy (and lets not forget intersexism and exorsexism ONTOP of racism, xenophobia, classism, ableism, lesbianphobia, biphobia, acephobia and homophobia) since late 2020 i think. maybe even worse?

as a black, queer disabled transmasc i feel as though our communities have this habit of feeling like we need to seem better than the other community in hopes that we,ll be more visible, thats just not the case though. everyone is seen!! maybe some more than others, but still seen, and loved and appreciated. we need to stick together in times like this, because infighting and hating and hurting causes more problems for us, and less problems for those who oppress us. we shouldn’t make problems for each-other, but make problems for the people who are so power-hungry, that they erase queer media and lump it in with *porn* for crying out loud.

Internet safety today is at its lowest with people blatantly revealing their age, mental health status and much more, we shouldn’t add onto it by bubbling hate by talking about how “wrong” and “bad” someone is for thinking a fictional character is transmasc, transfem or hell even genderfluid. we should differentiate when to talk about fictional fantasy, a message behind that fiction, and real life events. especially now when alot of individuals have gotten para social over real people or fictional characters because of their love for them :(

(off topic i headcanon jax as both so i dont really know if i have a say but i do know that i want to say i think alot of people agree that jax is not at all cis lmao, we should all agree on that part instead of trying to decide “which type of cis” he is, if you headcanon him this way, epic. if you headcanon him that way, epic.)
