saw a perisex person review a book written by an intersex person, and it was specifically ABOUT an intersex person, that deadass read “it’s no middlesex, but it does it’s job”
where the fuck do these bitches get audacity cause i could go for some of that
kids of color, you’re allowed to get a bitey when a white friend does something racist. literally 0 percent of people of color are obligated to be nice and palatable for white people. holding your tongue in the name of kindness doesn’t really do much in regards to stuff like this because white people are going to see you calling out their own racism as unkind anyways. white people, if a person of color comes off as aggressive while calling you out for racism, just fucking listen to them. they’re not coming from nowhere, and believe it or not: they know more about racism than you do! shocker, i know. just thickskin it, because it’s really not about you.
white ppl can rb but keep your damn mouths shut
If you are a perisex trans perskn and you insist that the primary target of intersexism is yourself, you are not my sibling and you are failing to understand your role in societal intersexism. Our erasure is being caused by perisex people, which includes perisex trans people. Our fetishization is similar to yours. Worse, actually, if we're also trans.
There's a few people here who are proud to say "🤪 I'm [identity] and I'm atoning for my crimes by saying all of [identity] should be oppressed" when they are white and ignoring people who are getting oppressed for that.

if a black woman did the same thing sabrina carpenter does she would not get a fraction of fame or be actively bashed as a nastttty slut for doing it and i know this is true bc whenver we talk about white pop girls vs black pop girls the black ones r always talked about as more vulgar and perverse meanwhile their peers like ariana grande r making songs about getting fucked so hard she can’t walk but bc shes white she still gets to be called dainty and delicate and a uwu soft girlie
YUP
idk what the discourse is here but here's a brief summary of twitter for the past 3 months
part 2: twitter's reaction
it is so fucking exhausting and annoying how white women, including and maybe even especially in progressive and leftist spaces, continue acting like they are not themselves still beneficiaries of tremendous privilege simply because they endure sexist or misogynistic discrimination. being a woman does not excuse the fact that you are still white and you still reap the benefits of being white! you do not get to "but sexism!" your way out of being held accountable for saying and doing racist shit!
never forget that WHITE WOMEN owned slaves, it was WHITE WOMEN who gatekept the womens' suffrage movement, WHITE WOMEN who not only participated in but also organized segregationist protests to harass and threaten children of color like ruby bridges, WHITE WOMEN who weaponize both their whiteness and their womanhood to threaten the safety and lives of black and brown people, WHITE WOMEN who had their own sect of the KKK, WHITE WOMEN who lied about black and brown men to get them murdered by lynch mobs, WHITE WOMEN who had significant influence in the eugenics movement, WHITE WOMEN who are just as complicit in settler-colonialist violence as white men are, WHITE WOMEN who receive preferential treatment to black and brown people of all genders seeking jobs and housing and education, and WHITE WOMEN who proclaim themselves to be the arbiters of feminism while forever ignoring the struggles of black and brown women and talk about white womanhood as if it is universal.
so forgive me but i am sick and tired of hearing about how WHITE WOMEN have it bad when WHITE WOMEN withhold their allyship until they can be certain that supporting the liberation of oppressed groups will benefit them in some way and are just as guilty of doing this as white men are.
and it's WHITE WOMEN who are going to see this post and ignore it like they always do, that is, if they don't add unnecessary paragraphs of "well, actually" full of logical fallacies and outright misunderstandings of how the fucking world works...
a white woman caused the tulsa massacre, one of the worst incidents of racialized violence in US history. the destruction of the black wall street, an entire town, schools, churches, homes, all fucking destroyed because of a singular white woman. most likely based on a whole fucking lie.
white women repeatedly tried to throw black people under the fucking bus in pursuit of their rights. not just cis straight ones either, queer white people have habitually done that. if i listed all the black people killed or jailed due to random claims by petty white women i'd be here for hours, and that doesnt include all the indigenous people they have also harmed. white women still to this god damn day habitually use their position within this white supremist ass world to get black people harrassed, fired from jobs, killed and more. they infantilize themselves and play the victim card so fucking often there is a fucking name for the phenomenon "white women tears".
and none of this shit is exclusive to fucking republican voting white women, i've watched hella "progressive" white women do the "white women tears", ive watched hella "progressive" white women say derogatory shit about black people particularly black women. ive watched white transwomen dogpile and rumor mill bullshit about black and indigenous people on this fucking site for even suggesting something they did was racist. we have seen how white women have thrown around the accusations of brown people in x y or z fucking nation are just so used to being misogynist to shut down criticism for fucking decades on live god damn tv. the worst part is black people have been literally righting books , stories, and giving lectures on this for atleast 200yrs and white women have no bothered to fucking read a word of any of it.
Not only was it a white woman crying that started those riots, it was the police department who helped her by deputizing the racist white mob, and this was just after Greenwood started to advocate against police racism. A white woman cried and it was used as a justifiable cause to punish and crumble an entire black community that still hasn't recovered. If the survivors weren't dead, they were left destitute and living in tents. A single white woman can be a hazard to an entire black community for generations to come.
I am getting really sick of seeing the sentiment that I as a Trans Woman doing things to help my dysphoria are me appeasing Cis people or me Harming myself.
Fucking stop posting that angels loose their wings when we get surgeries or voice train or buy clothes we like. Stop posting that you only see me getting bottom surgery as me trying to make some fucking cis transphobe happy. Stop posting about how you think it's not sexy if I don't have a girlfriend for you to fetishize and fantasize about what type of lesbian sex we'd have. Stop telling us to break up with folks who have loved and supported us because you assume we are too stupid to keep ourselves safe.
And especially take the word Transfeminist out of your bio if you are going to post these, because you are not fighting for my rights if you're just fucking shaming me for taking care of myself as a Trans person.
Also if you're white leave me out of your arguments about how "us" as trans woman have it worse especially because of me being black. My Blackness isn't yours, and neither is my Black Trans experience.
My life as a Black Trans sex worker is not for you to wave around to say that we suffer the most. We as Trans people fight together or we are not fighting against at all. There is less of us than there are of them, we don't have the privilege that cis people do to sit here and be divided over, what was it you guys say on here, Opression Olympics?
I came on here for fucking kink posting and my tags are just constantly full of shaming or discourse now unless I block every other trans person I run into on there .
And that's disgusting really, considering we're meant to be in this together.
"Are men oppressed for being men?"
The answer is, of course, yes. This has been the settled feminist position since at least the 90s, something I was aware of as part of the minimum acceptable bar for feminism as a 13 year old.
It's not even a complicated idea - the patriarchy demands certain things from men as part of the structure that sustains itself. Men have social expectations of manliness and violating those norms can result in severe social consequences. This is part of the definition of toxic masculinity.
(It's also one of the reasons trans women are hated in the particular way we are - much of society sees us as an extreme case of "failed men".)
There is a reason we say feminism is for everyone, including men. Because men are oppressed as well by the patriarchy and would
The only reason we even slightly entertain this question on this website is because it's become a transphobic dog whistle to justify transphobia against trans men and trans mascs, in particular in the form of denying the existence of transphobia specific to trans men and trans mascs, aka transandrophobia. "I'm not transphobic, I just don't think men are oppressed." is incredibly transparent, but still has been repeated often enough with minimal push back that others are just accepting it as true.
Which of course ironically proves that transandrophobia is real. What else can we call it except targeted, and therefore specific, when people gleefully abandon well established feminist principles in order to further an agenda of discrimination against a specific minority?
Lol I forgot to finish a paragraph here. You can figure it out.
This makes sense to me. I’m often confused by some of the theory about transmisogyny, because it’s talked about as a particularly intense brand of hatred of women.
And yes, it is that… but it seems to me like it’s ALSO hatred of men. “You’re the kind of twisted failure at being a man that makes a woman of yourself.” Like… it’s both things.
Transmisandry strikes me as similar. Whether the hater sees you as a fake man or a failed woman, it’s all tied together, because it’s all grounded in the idea that people are perverse if they don’t match up with expected gender roles.
>The only reason we even slightly entertain this question on this website is because it's become a transphobic dog whistle
I think it's possible - possible - that an overwhelmingly female userbase, who have been told in so many words it's okay to generalise their complaints about their horrible boyfriends to the entire gender, MIGHT be a factor.
Oh absolutely true, but I'm talking about something quite specific. Saying men suck in a wide variety of ways has been going on for a while, and it's gotten deserved push back as bioessentialism (though, unfortunately, not enough). I am talking about specifically the point where the idea that men are oppressed under the patriarchy was widely abandoned, and that is directly tied to the transandrophobic argument that transandrophobia can't exist, resting on two initially deliberate butcherings of oppression theory. Specifically a perversion of intersectionality that completely abandons the core principles of the framework, and the explicitly anti feminist idea that men are not oppressed under the patriarchy.
To people who are not well grounded in feminist theory the combination sounds just right enough to be convincing, which is why I say initially deliberate. At this point its mostly ignorant people repeating something that sounds right. Not that ignorant transphobia is ok.
Basically, the reason people were willing to abandon the idea of men being oppressed is because they allowed themselves to be primed by bioessentialist "all men are evil" rhetoric, but still people held onto the idea that even men would be better off without the patriarchy. I even saw it brought up occasionally as an anti man argument - "these men are so stupid and hateful that they would rather continue living under an oppressive system than treat women as equals", that sort of thing.
What has really popularized the idea that men are not oppressed at all is transandrophobia and how useful the idea is to erase and silence trans men and trans mascs. Which you can tell because the idea is almost never brought up in any other context.
The second could never have happened without the first, but the only reason that specific idea has gained so much traction is because it is being actively pushed because it is a useful transphobic argument and dog whistle.

I think if you bully trans girls for their style or interests or hobbies, especially if they’re just starting out exploring and discovering themselves and their identities, then honestly please shut up and refrain from making your opinion their problem. Girls who love spinny skirts and thigh highs and hyperpop music and plushies are cool as fuck and the only thing you should be doing is buying them even more of the things they love!!
this also goes for trans boys too btw. boys who love cavetown and play ukulele and love bugs and cut their own hair and wear the same baggy hoodie every day. or the guys six months on T with patchy facial hair and voices that break. or non binary people with noun names and neopronouns.
overall you just have to love trans people, especially the "stereotypical", obviously trans people, more than you hate transphobes. because if drag down your own community over what you think is "cringe", you're just as bad as the transphobes you hate.
Wild to me that young queers are still debating whether or not transmasc lesbians are real or not when a (Black) transmasc lesbian threw the first fucking punch at Stonewall. Learn your goddamn history and shut the fuck up about trans lesbians, he/him lesbians, lesboys etc. because they’ve been here longer than you’ve been alive.
While I completely agree, and personally tend to label Stormé DeLarverie (say his name!!) as transmasc, that is because it was the social role they inhabited. We cant know how she identified internally, as he very expressly refused to identify with a gender. They used all pronouns, and when asked what gender he was, she said they were "just me". It's entirely possible he wouldve identified as a transmasc lesbian, and its just as possible they wouldve identified as an agender/transneutral lesbian, or another nonbinary identity. We cant know for sure. However, he/him lesbians have always existed and Stormé did use he/him.
It seems we are staring this new year the same we did last. With a Black trans man found dead in New York. And like last time, no one on social media is talking about it, because we don't talk about dead trans men.
Danny Siplin was 33-years-old, he was a community builder, a dedicated son that drove his mother to work every morning, and he loved the snow.
He was found dead near his car on a bridge in Rochester. Police have alleged there was no foul play involved in his death, but details of his death have not been released to the public. The media reporting his death misgendered him on TV and in articles. He was described by his mother as someone who "give the shirt off [his] back,".
Sam Nordquist's body was found almost a year ago, also in New York, also after he had gone missing. Sam Nordquist was de-gendered by the New York Times, which initially had correctly referred to him as a trans man before changing the language to "person". Sam, a 24-year-old Black trans man, had been tortured and raped for three months before he was killed and his buddy dumped and dedicated. The media also failed him, not just by misgendered and de-gendering him but also by using photos of him pre-transition. Something that his Wikipedia page has also done.
He was described by his mother as someone who "give the shirt off his back,".
It has also been almost two years since the murder of TK Hill, a 35-year-old Black publicly transgender man, who was shot and killed in front of his home at the start of 2024. TK had been a community organizer and an LGBT salon owner. TK Hill was also described as someone who would "give the shirt off his back,".
As I mourn the death of Danny Siplin, I am still mourning the death of Sam Nordquist and TK Hill. I mourn the deaths of all trans men whose names go unspoken, whose names go erased, who have been defined as people who give and give and give - even when they had very little and faced such great and terrible adversity.
was talking to someone and she said “testosterone is poison it will make you fat smelly and mean” and i hit her w the mocking tone “waaa estrogen is poison it will make you fat impotent and whiny” and it shut her right up LMAOO. i’m just going to start mocking trfs bc that’s the only language they speak
ATTENTION TRFS:
op is a trans woman💕
calling me out for this or any other post i’ve made is, by your own standards, violent transmisogyny, punishable by death (tumblr ban), and anything short of uplifting my voice is an act of aggression💖💕💖💕
imagine calling yourself a former terf and then continuing to perpetuate terf rhetoric. also this is a crazy thing to say to a lesbian
smth very important to remember Abt bigots and fascists of all kinds is that they believe, at most, about a third of the things they say they believe. the majority of their beliefs are fully reactionary, and completely conditional on the situation. this means a lot of the things they say contradict themselves! its easy to catch them in these contradictions, but its important to have a realistic knowledge of what u are trying to do when you do this. the goal should be to show the falsity of their claims to people who haven't been fully radicalized yet. the fascist themself is almost certainly fully aware of the contradiction and will be completely unaffected by pointing it out. if your goal is to "own them," u will b disappointed
this applies to TERFs and TRFs too, bc altho they will claim to be politically leftist in many cases, the same fascistic logic drives their views and actions
this is why it can be confusing to argue with someone fully in those spaces, or even just to see the claims they are making. most people try to believe the things they believe because they think those things are right, but a fascist thinks the things they believe are inherently right, and are unwilling to concede anything, or grow, or change their opinion
its not impossible, per se, but that inflexibility and unwillingness to change is an inherent part of that philosophy. you will see them acting in exceedingly cruel ways to others, hurting them, pushing them down, mocking and delighting in their suffering, only to act as if anyone questioning them is an unbearably cruel misdeed.
and this contradiction is intentional. its on purpose. its how people on this goddamned web site cheer for and back people saying and doing horrible things, actively harassing others, and hurting people, and then treat the natural pushback from the people being hurt as harassment, and act as if a blog being deactivated is death.
final addition, before some leech I have yet to block comes on this post and accuses me of condoning harassment, I don't, dumbass, I condone blocking you, which is what i'll do. and no, this post isn't calling ISFF of Patrica Tax on fascists, i don't think they are. I do think the way they think and act is indistinguishable from fascists though, and its only distinct because of their material condition. when the only group you feel deserves advocacy is your own group, you might want to think about what you might think about that group were you not a part of it.

art by Tima Lotah Link (Chumash) for the Native Voices 16th Annual Short Play Festival
"merciless indian savages" is a direct quote from the US declaration of independence, and this is referencing the art of "manifest destiny" as a white woman standing over the us countryside
the catch-22 of black characters in fandom: if a black character is morally upstanding, heroic and kind, if they embody good and noble traits with minimal or understandable flaws, the majority of fandom will decide they're too boring and vanilla to stan and ignore or bash them in favor of nonblack characters, claiming there's something untrustworthy or unbelievable about how good this character seems to be. but if a black character is messy, morally complex or fucked up on par with nonblack characters in the same story or straight-up evil like a lot of popular nonblack villains in fandom are, the majority of fandom will hyperfocus on the black character's negative traits and use them as the reason why they "can't" be interested in the black character or as a flimsy excuse for repeating antiblack stereotypes. like when it comes to black villains or even just like. 3-dimensionally flawed black characters, most folks in fandom often frame them as beyond empathy bc they're exceptionally aggressive/dishonest/unemotional etc and that makes them fundamentally unsympathetic and repulsive, even if they have favorite nonblack characters with the exact same traits. the common denominator of these arguments is blackness, and how way too many people see blackness itself as inherently beyond sympathy and inherently lacking interiority- but a lot of folks in liberal fandom spaces are unable to face that bias about themselves, so they grasp onto arbitrary character traits as the "reason" for why they think so many black characters are just unsympathetic and unlikable and uninteresting regardless of how they're depicted. it's completely valid to have archetype preferences- some folks just prefer straightforward heroic types, some folks just prefer villains or monsters, etc- but if someone who loves a whole roster of bland morally righteous nb heroes is turning up their nose at black heroes for being too boring or too perfect, or if someone who makes a whole meal outta being a monsterfucker villain stan somehow draws the line at black characters doing all the fucked up things their nb faves have done, we know the basis of that double standard is antiblackness.
black hero?? ugh they're a mary sue/they're too perfect/they're too boring/the story's tryna fool and manipulate us into thinking this character's a good person but i know they aren't!! black villain?? ugh they're so evil/irredeemable/disgusting how can anyone stan them?? they've literally killed and exploited so many people. anyway back to posting about my nonblack fave who just deserves a big hug, hatecrime mcgenocideman-
