Ok I know this is super old now but I work at a post office and I was curious about the price so I did some digging and I still don’t have a definite answer because THE REASON it says “no shipping services available” is because all shipping services were actually suspended to Guam at the time. As in no packages, parcels, letters, or mail of any kind could be sent to Guam. So not only is it mind boggling that it got sent so far in the wrong direction of its intended destination, but because nothing should have been able to get in to Guam period.

You QUITE LITERALLY could not have sent these cookies to Guam if you tried.

Flint’s Scottish Murdoch Pistol

It’s a very interesting minor detail which reflects the personal taste of Captain Flint. His Scottish Murdoch pistol is a prevalent prop throughout the seasons of Black Sails, even throughout Capture, and disarm, which presumably means, he either reacquired the same pistol, or went out of his way to get others of the same style. In fact, in a screenshot in Season 4, we can even see his new coat, the realized Long John Silver, and Flint, with not one, but TWO murdochs in his belt. It is a subtle detail of his favoritism of this pistol, but a delightful one, nonetheless. Showing that, much like the rest of us, Flint has a favorite type of pistol, or weapon, he found aesthetically pleasing.

So I originally left this in the tags but I thought it was too interesting not to share - this is probably not at all a coincidence. The Scottish Murdoch is significant for a character like Flint for some canon(and headcanon)y reasons.

1) It was apparently the same type of pistol as the one that the supposed ‘first shot’ of the American Revolution was fired from. NICE, Black Sails Props Department. Nice.

2) Scottish Murdochs were noted for their increased accuracy and reliability in firing vs. other Flintlocks of the day

3) It was one of the first Scottish made and exported pistols that really took off, making the Scottish!Flint headcanon that much more powerful.

4) The guy who invented it was named Thomas lmao lmao lmao lmao
