Small head canon

Eridian Calendar is based on migration patterns of prey. Mostly from upper atmosphere to lower atmosphere.

Similar to how our calendar was based on harvest schedules.

Also did the math on the Eridian Calendar (5 earth hours per day, 42 earth days in a year)

Where an eridian year is 201.6 eridian days.

Or in other words every 2 years it's 202 eridian days with a "short year" as the third year since apparently the universe is just designed to fuck with Ryland Grace.

I wish they explored the time dilation and the Eridian calendar more in the movie too, there's more in the book but still, I'm so fascinated by Eridian culture and systems

Do they also have festivals like us? Do they celebrate birthdays? Do they know about eclipses?

Like his students asking him endless questions after seeing a post-run Grace of why human making liquid on skin wait to cool oneself?? Why not just do INSIDE of body??

i personally am obsessed with dude the eridian. i was looking at his ref image and thought maybe he stood on his hind legs because of his limb difference? (the smaller one) maybe it hinders him sight/hearing wise and standing on two legs when he needs to see/hear something helps with echolocation? idk im just making stuff up </3 i also love your blipmary art!!!

how do you think rocky would react to learning about human’s ability to push themselves past their limits with adrenaline rushes? 🤔 i’m thinking about how grace is so weak compared to rocky but something happens then suddenly grace is tearing his muscles from how much strength he’s using

This yes, someone mentioned Rocky being able to hear how we develop muscle (tearing the tissues, which our body rebuilds) For him it would not be fun listening to it

About the adrenaline rush, I can imagine Grace having fun with his exercise routine and pushing himself a bit, meanwhile Rocky is like GRACE HEART ABOUT TO EXPLODE? QUESTION

Hello bluemuffin!!! Your PHM endurance comics are really funny :D may I suggest a test of climbing/balance? Obviously eridians have incredible balance, since they can move their weight across 5 limbs, but humans still descend from tree-swinging apes!!! I guess the difference would be the center of gravity + most economic movement to get from point A to point B. I guess the climbing/balancing could be done by them going on a hiking trail?

Oh this is a good idea, hadn't thought about it before but there would be a difference in the centre of gravity, ours is much higher, but we have seen Rocky climb around in the Hail Mary, Eridians would be great climbers for sure I think

However humans are good at balance, yk like the ropewalking, maybe Grace could train around for a bit and then decide to show off to the Eridians

And Rocky is like oh you want me to hunt you? I'll hunt you. I have this hc that Eridians are ambush predators and use nets they make like deinopidae
