Was just having a discussion with my fiance that taco bell should change their slogan to "it's gonna be okay" or at the very least shorten "live más" to "live". just feels like thats what we need from them

They should change it to "live por favor" and when they hand you your order you hold hands for a moment and look in each others eyes

this is specifically abt a scholar i keep accidentally misgendering as i write up my thesis but it applies more broadly i think

you can be peeling a boiled egg and think to yourself wow. that was so simple. and then you peel another one and it’s like being in the throes of war. shell everywhere. egg mangled. tears in your eyes. that’s how god keeps you humble

stay vigilant. there are still people out there who will try to convince you that eating fruit is somehow bad for your body

my grad program has a school wide whatsapp and the first years are starting to move to the city and join the whatsapp so my notifications are being flooded with the worlds stupidest questions of all time. someone just asked if they’re allowed to buy meals. did not specify from where just “can we buy meals ourselves” well you are in grad school so i assume that means you’ve lived long enough to be familiar with the concept of purchasing food why are you asking this

i remember last year when someone was moving into their apartment and was confused why they had to buy their own kitchen garbage bin. like they were confused that it wasnt supplied. are you not an adult…..?

today someone asked if we’re able to schedule fun things like visiting friends during reading periods (aka midterm breaks) and i’m like man you’re an adult and you have free will you can do whatever you want it’s at your discretion you know yourself. why are you asking this
