I joke about collecting chronic illnesses like pokemon, but today I got diagnosed with endometriosis after 10+ years of pain and 7 years of perusing help! I’ve been told it’s all in my head, due to anxiety, depression or grief - that tests show no evidence, despite the only definitive way to spot is through surgery. Today my dr finally said that none of this was my fault and everything that I had experienced wasn’t fake, my pain was real and we are perusing treatment!
I’m only 24 but am so proud of myself for pushing though and getting this diagnosis, for not only this but my other diagnoses too. Advocating for yourself as a woman who is struggling is like a minefield everything explodes the second you mention mental health or personal lives. In a second they will dismiss your claims and blame you when you cry or beg for pain killers just so you can sleep without waking up in agony.
So I suppose I’m a pokemon master at this point right?
But yay go me!
I COULD USE SOME HELP
i hate to do this so much, but im asking for some help. i have to get my meds for the month soon (i actively take roughly 18 diff pills, per DAY, for reference) and i also have to pay some debt every month, but i only have 15 dollars in my bank acc atm :,) if any of u could like, share this post around and/or d0n4te that would be very helpful- im really sorry about this

Fatigue, feeling cold and dry skin are symptoms of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
The thyroid gland is placed in the front center of the neck, between the trachea and the larynx. It is the organ that produces the hormones triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4), and calcitonin. The thyroid requires iodine from the diet and the environment to manufacture it. The pituitary gland produces the hormone TSH, which regulates thyroid function. Hypothyroidism (hypothyroidism) is a group…

Up until now I've never taken my thyroid condition seriously in terms of diet. I've just eaten whatever with no thought to if its helping me or not, turns out a lot of food I eat reduces thyroid levels so I need to start changing that.
Does anyone else have anything I can add to these lists?

(Image description: a blue background with butterflies in shades of blue and yellow, dark blue and yellow text in the center says "world thyroid day" above the date, "May 25".)
Today is World Thyroid Day. Shout out to all of us trans and queer folx living with thyroid disease.

Thyroid
A few months ago I found out I have an under active thyroid. I have been taking medicine and having blood checkups and what not.
A few days ago, I had a Thyroid ultrasound.
Today I found out that I have nodules on my thyroid. I do not really exactly understand what this means and what is gonna happen. Right now I feel very trapped and scared. Even though there is no reason to be. I feel like I shouldn’t be complying when more people have it so much worse.
If anyone has info they can give me about what can be done. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
