Hashimoto's update 8/4/26
So since 2021, I have been routinely seeing an endocrinologist. I have had a variety of fluctuations in my TSH levels and my Levothyroxine dosage has been adjusted up and down along the way. I went the other day for labwork and my TSH was 4.65 - back in May it was 0.23. So back to the slightly higher dosage. I am feeling the fatigue and brain fog pretty bad right now. I feel like I have had a mixture of symptoms though and was unsure before my labs which end of the spectrum I was on honestly.
I know there's things I need to work on and I'm trying to get committed to a weight loss journey again. I lost about 30lbs since 2021 but I really need to lose A LOT more. And not gain it back!! That part was frustrating becasue I started losing and then gained some back. Blogging was helpful in the past so maybe it can be again. Idk. I have a lot going on with my job right now and I'm going to school. Will it be another 5 years before I post here again? lol
Oh! I forgot to mention that at my last appointment, when we were going over my lab results, my GP was pretty sure that she's finally ruled out Hashimoto's for me; my thyroid levels haven't changed since the last time we tested them after we upped my dose. So that was fantastic news!
i think the worst thing about this diagnosis is just feeling like i’m letting everyone down. i don’t know how to deal with the guilt of not being able to be okay for the people i care about all the time. i feel so selfish and dramatic

I was talking to my mom about being about levothyroxine/synthroid and how it made my mental health better.
Mom: yeah hypothyroidism makes people depressed. Makes people feel really hopeless
Me: *mentally* wow I really wish you fucking told me that fucking earlier mom.
skipped my thyroid pill for a little over a month and after 3 days of taking it again, I'm noticing a visible decrease in swelling in my throat that I genuinely just thought was from gaining stress/grief weight
