Hunting for crazy banding or crystal cavities in these small Columbia county full nodules can be frustrating; While these guys are all pretty dope, I know there are big geodes and deep color hidden inside a lot of this material, as I have many broken pieces to prove it! Only one of these, probably the biggest one, had hints of banding and a hollow interior. I’ve had a goiter for years. Doesn’t bother me, and I don’t even notice it, but people in the medical field have told me it’s noticeable. I had a thyroid ultrasound done in 2018, and they told me there were nodules but nothing to worry about. I’ve been complaining of fatigue for years (2010 at least which is before I had E). No one ever takes it seriously because my lab work always come back totally fine.
I went to my annual physical in early July. The GP and I agreed I would have a repeat ultrasound on my thyroid. I had the ultrasound done earlier this week, and got the call today that the nodules have grown and I need a biopsy because two nodules meet the criteria. I’m being referred to endocrinology. Trying not to panic. They told me to call endocrinology late today and try to get an appointment ASAP. I have no idea how long it will take me to get in.

I have a golf ball sized growth on my thyroid. Well, actually three of them; 2 are large and one is about half their size. I need a biopsy of one of the larger nodules. Since I have Sjogren’s, I have a higher chance of Lymphoma. My doctors are supposed to watch me for it. It’s how they found the growths. I’ve had one of these biopsies before, they use a hollow needle and kinda poke the growth a bunch of times. It’s uncomfortable. Hopefully the biopsy will be benign. I just hate waiting for results. (And I haven’t even had the biopsy yet). I have zero patience. Worst at waiting ever. Lol.
I've never made a post like this but I'm kinda freaked out. So I went for a thyroid ultrasound yesterday and the technician seemed distant and worried. Making faces and concerned sounds and marking spots with yellow dotted lines. Maybe I'm overthinking but is this a bad sign?? Im so anxious 😬
