#werewolf cookie

It's about time I made one of these, you know? Welcome to Dog Days! A Cookie Run AU where the focus of all the attention is dogs, days, dogs spending their days and everything in between (???

Enough with the joking xd. This is a canon divergent story focused on Werewolf, Red Velvet and Crunchy Chip as a friend group. They get to meet each other and form a friendship that will allow them to evolve as people.

I am very fond of shooting characters with the creature beam and werecreatures specifically, so you'll immediatly find the canon divergence reflected in my designs xd.

As formerly mentioned, the focus of this story's attention is Werewolf, Red Velvet and Crunchy Chip. But, why those three? Within the fondness for werecreatures, I am even more fond of werewolves specifically, so canine related characters have always been a huge appeal to my taste.

Before Crunchy Chip existed, people already saw a potential bond between Werewolf and Red Velvet due to one being his namesake and the other having a huge connection to dogs. And when Chip happened, there was an initial wave of people thinking the three of them would get along. Even the initial promotional materials for Chip's release created interactions between the three.

I was fond of that dynamic ever since, and seeing artists develop into them made me enjoy it even more. Eventually, said artists drifted away from the community, so I got motivated to create my own content surounding the trio in order to keep that legacy alive. And slowly but steady, I got to develop a somewhat linear story as years went by and the canon story developed, as well as shenanigans of many kinds.

While their bond is the main point of the story, other characters are also involved within these events. Moreover, because of how heavily involved are Chip and Red Velvet in the Act 1 main story, canon events intertwine within the fanon ones, sometimes getting rewritten or adapted to my modifications

While some Cookie Run rewrites are presented as a way of fixing the story, I just want to create something that catters to me personally. I don't think making Chip into an actual werewolf would improve the game experience for 99% of people within the fandom, but it's what I want to do with my free will anyways.

The initial purpose of this story was allowing Werewolf to get a safe environment where he could reconnect with himself and make friends. As my ideas developed and my attachment started leaning more into Crunchy Chip, I also developed new objectives: giving the three of them enough development and spotlight, explore their relationships with other characters, stablish a solid basis for how I portray lycanthropy...

And sure did I explore a lot. A lot of my stories were made as the game updated, so I ended changing my mind in wether or not they fit the current chain of events. At least, now that Act 1 is over, I finally have it easy to stablish a linearity between the events, because I'm so burnt out with the main story I decided to rewrite Act 1's ending to be a definitive conclusion and treat Act 2 like an alternative timeline instead.

This ended becoming in a sort of multimedia project. Between comics, illustrations, animations, fanfiction and infographics, I've shared many snippets of the lore. I've decided to give a try to straight up info dump posts too because I feel like it would take ages until I find the way of reflecting said lore into any sort of creation, so said future posts will include the CR Dog Days hashtag as well. Moreover, because not every piece of lore is public yet, it still looks like I'm biased towards certain characters regarding development. With said info dump posts, I wanna share all that info I haven't shared yet, because it might come the day I achieve a more interesting format to it. As they say "make it exist first, you'll be able to eventually perfect it"
