"Social construct" by definition means: an idea that has been created and accepted by the people in a society.

What does this mean? Almost everything that makes a society IS a social construct. Language? Social construct. Money? Social construct. I could go on but hopefully you get the point.

Social constructs are NOT MEANINGLESS!! They are a foundation to society, theyre important!! They help us understand ourselves, others, and the society we live in! When someone says something (like gender) is a social construct, they arent saying "oh well this is fake and doesnt matter at all" theyre saying "its not a scientific fact, and acting like it is would be detrimental to the entire concept in the first place".

Stupid little [informational] rant on why there's nothing wrong with paraphilias and paraphilic disorders, yes that includes the bad ones, and why anti-paraphilia is technically ableist. "S-so i'm ableist for not liking pedophilia?!" shut up and listen.

Before I go all out here's some terms you should know ;

anti-contact : someone who doesn't support *practicing paraphilias, more specifically ones that cannot be consented to.

pro-contact : someone who supports *practicing paraphilias

there's also neu-contact, complex-contact, blah blah

*practicing : a paraphile who practices (acts on) their paraphilia

non-practicing : a paraphile who doesn't practice (act on) their paraphilia

- a rant post because this bothers me deeply

Before I begin I’d like to preface this by saying this post is NOT made to be a debate on whether or not Will is autistic or on the spectrum!!!

I feel like Will’s character is so oddly treated by some parts of the fandom simply because he shows traits of being neurodivergent. In the show, he shows discomfort towards being looked down upon and treated as less than human. I see people constantly saying he had no control over all his actions because of his mental health and I mean.. did we watch the same show?

I hate seeing him being treated as if he did nothing wrong. He did bad things and made horrible decisions under the persuasion of Hannibal, but also on his own. There’s a balance between knowing when he was being manipulated but also knowing that not all of his actions were caused by that.

Will Graham is not a good person. I need people to understand that everyone in the show did bad things and made bad choices at one point or another. Everyone is guilty. Cherry picking Will to be the character you see as “pure” is very strange.

I’ve seen the same people who infantilize Will also say that every girl in the show is evil or “getting in between Will and Hannibal’s relationship” which to that, I could make an entirely separate post on the deeply rooted misogynistic tendencies some people have. 

The amount of people I see watering down his character to nothing more than his mental instability is honestly disheartening. He’s truly such a well written character so boiling it down to nothing more than his instability is very.. odd to me.

and their reactions once again being really respectful and understanding, taking a step back and both agreeing on taking that step back (so healthy, so much like a relationship should be, you know what im talking aboutt)

they didnt completely abandon each other afterwards, they did the exact opposite and showed affection in a (damn cute) way. holding handsss (i cannott). the vibe, the characters, the way it was written and the actors all created a scene that wasnt awkward At All.

now im just describing the scene but its just that everything was done completely on purpose and so though through and it differed a lot from what you see on 'basic', straight (not always i know) love stories where the third kiss is where the characters are somehow already completely comfortable with doing that.

this shows so much that even though you both know you want this you can still Take It Slowly. Thats not what you often see and its so beautiful. it shows that you can still have a great damn relationship without kissing each other every six minutes. other types of affection can be just as intimate and can make the moment (more) comfortable.

I can't wait to see people weaponizing this UK exclusive localization to attack me for yumeshipping with Roy 🙃

This whole post comes off as weird to me, the last part was just so unnecessary, "pedo proshippers"?? Them immediately jumping to calling people pedos really icked me. It really comes off as "see I was always more morally correct!" rather than actually being concerned.

I'm okay with others having different headcanons for their ages, but the last part was so unnecessary, you don't need to attack others for having different headcanons or interpretations than yours, especially since a lot of the Mario series in general is up to interpretation.
