#koopalings

Hey, thank you for the ask! Sorry for the late reply! I got a lot to answer for this question, so I wanna prepare. Lots of backstories below.

Bowser's kids pretty much knew about their cousins since they were toddlers. Mario and Peach left their kids for Luigi to babysit quite often, and they got the most exposure to Junior, who was desperate to not be the youngest in the household. Junior was in his moody pre-teen phase, so he's not the nicest playmate, but they get along.

As they grew up, they stayed in contact, but mostly on Marcello's side. During a few of her teenage years, Marcello (after resigned from her spot on the throne) left to live at her uncle's place for a while as a change of scenery, so she could think about her future. That's when she bonded the most with Bowser's kids.

I drew her with only Junior here, but she was closed with most of the Koopalings. They like to call her their "honorary koopaling". She was closest with Junior of course, and they have a little rivalry against each other. Even as they grew to adulthood, they still train and go on adventures together. She would honestly even think of Junior as a close friend, since they share most of their grievances.

As for Plum?

Bowser's kids as a collective are a bit too rowdy for his taste. As he was growing up, he tends to avoid his cousins at events, and the koopalings thought of him to be too moody and stuck up to be around anyway.

While his older sister left to find her own footing, Plum was busy his entire teen years training. However as an adult, he is quite fond of Ludwig. Ludwig, at least in my universe, is the one that took after the throne after Bowser retired, so he travels to the Mushroom Kingdom to meet Plum quite a bit. Usually diplomatic businesses, tea and small talks, but I would call them friends.
