Btw if you have frequent recurring sinus infections/sinus headaches with facial pains and pressure, you might want to see a neurologist and try taking a Triptan when you have symptoms, there's a chance what you're actually having is migraines. Stuffy nose? That can also be migraines. Neck pain and stiffness? Again, can be migraines. Teeth pains? Believe it or not, migraines. If you take a Triptan (migraine medication, not a painkiller and only relieves migraines) and all that shit goes away, you've got your answer. It's migraines baby.
Learn how to tell if sinus headache symptoms like congestion, runny nose and head pain are actually signs of a migraine attack.
Help me identify my symptoms? I’ve been struggling with various recurring symptoms for about 4-5 years now. I’ve never had the opportunity to tell a doctor about it. I’m 5’6 and 142 pounds, BMI 22.9. I do light-to-moderate exercise 22/30 days a month. I’m not dehydrated and I eat between 1,300 to 2,500 calories a day. I don’t drink, don’t smoke, and don’t do dr*gs. I only drink water and one latte an week, and limit my processed sugar intake. I take multivitamins and sleep 7-10 hours a night. Blood pressure 104/74 at noon today and then 113/72 a few minutes ago. Heart rate 84-91 bpm.
Symptoms:
My vision throbs and goes partially black/fuzzy when I stand up. I don’t get very dizzy but only slightly off-kilter. This lasts between 5 and 30 seconds. This has happened for about 6 years, longer than other symptoms. It used to be worse, to the point where my vision would go fully black and would not return for up to 1-2 minutes, I would feel hot and cold all over, my ears would ring, blocking out all other sounds, and if I hadn’t sat down immediately, I would have fainted multiple times. It is better now but has begun to happen more often within the last 2 months. Every 1/4 of the times I stand up, my vision goes dark around the edges and splotches of darkness over the front.
I have recurring bouts of fatigue. It feels like every joint and muscle is weighed down, like lead feet. I don’t want to get up out of chairs, it feels exhausting just to go up a flight of stairs. There will be stretches of days to weeks where I feel completely fine with lots of energy and can treadmill 2 or 3 miles, run up the stairs, ect, and then I have weeks-long flares of just exhausted, dead weight.
Random muscle aches and joint pain. Usually in the colder months. Recurring right wrist pain, especially in stormy weather. Recurring ankle pain, knee pain, that goes all the way up my calf and shin. This hasn’t happened in 2-3 months, however.
Chronic congestion. I have just wads of clear to slightly yellow snot to blow out in the mornings, even when it is not allergy season. My home is not dirty so there is nothing that should be causing it. Recurring runny noses, sinus pressure that feels like a “triangle” of pressure from my cheekbones up to my nose.
Joints constantly crack and pop, even in regular movement. Back, neck, ankles. My shoulders and wrists click and pop when I rotate them. Back and neck clicks/crunches often.
General stiffness in my muscles.
Low tolerance for hot weather.
Symptoms worsen during the afternoon, sometimes are better late at night.
Difficulty losing weight unless on a strict deficit, easily gaining weight.
