Astro observations natal & synastry
MC in Capricorn are disciplined and very serious about their reputation and career. Any slight offence/injustice in academia, their profession can be very triggering for them and they will take it personally. Especially if Chiron is in the mix with a strong aspect like conjunct MC - then it will really feel like people are out to get them in their profession. Their job could cause them lots of pain but simultaneously have a healing effect as well. These people want to build something meaningful and long lasting.
Mars (1 or 12th house) conjunction Ascendant - it can feel like you rub people the wrong way. Especially if you have Lilith in 1st house as well. You could literally be minding your own business and people come pick at you/be disapproving of you. On a positive note, you have a strong presence and drive: you will always go after what you want.
Moon in Aquarius and Moon in Sagittarius people are not that similar as some people tend to describe them. Moon in Aquarius people are unusually distant and kind of cold. It’s like they always put up a wall. They are rebellious and always think they know best; definitely could have a superiority complex. It’s like Sun in Aquarius but 10x more intense. It’s also not easy to build an emotional connection with them - they are reluctant to talk about feelings and over-rationalise them a great deal.
Sagittarius Moons are more upbeat and encouraging. They’re philosophical and love travel and sharing their feelings/experiences with other people. They can be bold and enterprising. Some do have commitment issues, however an evolved Sagittarius Moon can and will stay loyal their whole life (to the right person)- I know multiple people in real life who have this placement and are very loyal to their spouse, including my mother, my grandfather.
Want a celebrity example?
The first husband of Lisa Marie Presley, Danny Keugh. After the divorce he stayed good friends with Lisa their whole life. Was supportive of her and helped raise the kids. Also, he never remarried.
I felt the need to make this correction because Sag Moons seem to get a bad reputation. And while indeed some can be reluctant to commit, and seem a bit flaky, it’s also not the norm. It depends on their principles.
Mars opposition Saturn, Saturn in Aries - when I see these in a chart I just know the person doesn’t have an easy life. They will go through confrontations, difficulties more times than they can count. They will have to be the responsible, level-headed one, maybe even from an early age. The good news is that they can become extremely resilient and good problem-solvers.
2nd house synastry creates both admiration and jealously, Venus square Pluto synastry as well.
With 2nd house synastry it’s like the other person (usually the house person) is a role model and the planet person looks up to them a lot. However they can also want the things they have (Mars in 2nd house), their beauty (Venus in 2nd house), social charm (Mercury in 2nd house). However this jealousy can be concealed and only become apparent after a fall out/if the house person offends them somehow.
Could not be easy to manage money matters with this dynamic. There could be conflicts regarding finances.
Sun falling in the other person’s 3rd house - it’s like feeling understood and heard perhaps the first time in your life. If there’s also good Moon, Mercury synastry it can translate to having found a best friend.
Don’t mess with harsh Mars aspects in synastry. I repeat: don’t do it. While it can be exciting and dynamic, the fun quickly fizzles out leaving the problems and headaches. Both romantic and platonic-wise. When I say harsh, squares are worse than oppositions (typically), with some notable exceptions: Moon opposition Mars synastry can turn emotionally/physically violent. Same with Mars opposition Pluto.
Example: MJ and his father had Moon-Mars opposition - it’s known they’ve been at odds since day one. He also physically abused MJ. The guy also hit back - good for him!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had one passion-filled, tumultuous relationship that made the headlines for years, and how much people talked about the divorce battle that came after. Among their synastry aspects was also a Moon square Mars.
Moon-Venus good aspects natal- makes you love the company of women.
Moon-Mars good aspects natal- you love the company of men.
If your Mars is in the other person’s first house, they will more easily make you come out of your shell and express yourself. This points to a dynamic, energetic relationship.
Descendant conjunct Chiron in synastry - it’s like the other person is a mirror reflection of your deepest emotional wounds. They feel like home but it’s a relationship that progressively hurts you, can destroy you. A painful aspect.
Example - Marilyn Monroe and her first husband;
Moon in Cancer women (natal) - can be very man-centred but will also be secretive about it. They may find the typical gender roles appealing.
Can be in a relationship and you’ll know absolutely nothing. Just wake up one morning with a post on Facebook popping up - “I’m engaged!”. And yes, this is a personal example. And she’s one of my colleagues.
Another Moon in Cancer, she’s a friend, loves the idea of two guys fighting for her attention. She even ever so “subtly” eggs them on. Liking cooking food and inviting BOTH of them over or giving car rides to guy no 2 when it’s quite clear she’s more into guy no 1, going out with the other guy when no 1 is away. An no, this is not some kind of poly arrangement or anything. She’s not “officially” dating any of them, just a young and a bit indecisive woman.
There’s something equally fascinating and infuriating about Virgo Suns. They are meticulous and have admirable work ethic, a pragmatic mind, sarcastic humor and are very driven. They seem nice and innocent, but they can actually be quite willful and have a temper. However they will rarely show it, preferring more sophisticated methods. They can literally be playing in your face if you upset them. They can also be quick to cut people off. Also Virgo Sun women especially can be very critical of other women and/or jealous of them. They could like having the upper hand or an advantage and are very observant.
They’ll notice the makeup on your face that’s slightly off. The fact that you wore grey socks instead of your usual white ones or how you are actually sad about something and trying to hide it.
It is very important for them that you appreciate the things they do for you and their work ethic. They can’t stand a person who’ll drag them down in this respect. Also, they like people who got intelligence and are put together.
I admire how meticulous you are, Virgos. While we’re indeed quite different, mad respect to you.
7th house is not just about partnerships but also about people you dislike, your “open enemies”.
I can’t stand the sign that’s on my 7th house cusp, while my mom reportedly loves her 7th house sign…and it’s not due to any negative experiences with that sign, only instinctual. Have you guys experienced something similar? Where a person who rubs you the wrong way has a sun sign that’s actually the sign of your 7th house?
Moon sign compatibility is more complex than people make it out to be. It’s not always just the signs meshing or not meshing well, the houses should be taken into account as well, other aspects, degrees. Is not so unilateral as saying:” oh, a Pisces and Libra Moon won’t get along in a relationship.” Maybe they both have 4th house moons or other favourable aspects - like good synastry involving Mercury, Mars, Sun.
Sun opposition Moon synastry is frequently found in married couples. The other person intrigues you but it’s also different from you in a way that can work and make you see things from a different perspective.
Back to Sagittarius Moons - they can be deeply offended if you criticise/downplay their beliefs. Because for a Sagittarius Moon, belief is their fuel for life. Having it dissected under a microscope and found “inadequate”, will make them soul-search no doubt, but after blowing off at you.
It’s true - they should become more accepting of other people’s beliefs.
Pisces Moons are usually very well-liked (both men and women) and have a charm to them that easily catches the eye. They can be absolute sweethearts or a nightmare. Or perhaps both at different times.
Is it just me or do Aquarius and Pisces Moon women have more difficulty in finding the right person for them?
Another potentially painful aspect in synastry is Venus square Saturn. It can translate to unrequited love. The Venus person finding the Saturn person cold, bossy. Like they are trying to manage the Venus person.
I had this aspect with my crush (alongside 8th and 12th house synastry) needless to say never did he manage to see me the same way I saw him. He was a childhood friend and I didn’t want to cut him off either. It was a conundrum.
While sextile, trine aspects are typically favourable and suggest a longevity to said relationship.
You might or might not connect with your Lilith sign all that much and that’s okay.
Mercury aspecting Pluto makes somebody a persuasive, at times forceful communicator. Their words have impact, especially with the conjunction and square aspects.
Sun in Leo crave the spotlight while Sun in Aquarius run away from it, no wonder they are opposite signs.
