An old-fashioned popcorn recipe that's versatile and quick to prepare.
Ingredients: 1/2 cup popcorn kernels. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Salt to taste.
Instructions: Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the popcorn kernels to the pot, cover with a lid, and shake the pot to coat the kernels with oil. Continue to shake the pot occasionally as the popcorn pops, to prevent burning. Once the popping slows down, remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for a minute to allow any remaining kernels to pop. Season with salt to taste, and toss to coat evenly.
