My parents and I were bantering and suddenly my dad mentioned evesdropping on my friends and I at a party and hearing the word lesbian. My heart genuinely dropped as I was tryna talk about how it was about ppl from the island of lesbos??

My mom looked at me and said " I'm okay if other people are gay, lesbian, or that stuff, but if you turn out lesbian I'll break your neck."

AND THEN WHEN I GOT UNCOMFORTABLE SHE JOKINGLY WENT "why, are you do like girls better than boyss" and tried to hug me as if she just said something normal.

My parents are never going to come to my wedding.

I AM crying. What if they find out? This is like the 4th time this was brought up but she never has said anything about hurting me.
