If you're like I, then you're probably way past making big time #gainz in a #linearprogression. Bro. What the means is no longer can you increase the weights on your exercises by 5lbs a week. Just try it and depending on the weight relative to the lifter he/she will stale or even get hurt. Do YOU want to be forced to take time off from the gym? Yeah, I didn't think so! 😛😛😛 So one great thing you can do is simply decrease the amount of weight you add to the bar. How? By using #fractionalplates! I started using the 1.25lb plates in my gym a few months ago when I knew I could no longer sustain five pound jumps and reverted to using percentages. I felt safer using approximate numbers (or close to them!) as I attempted to break plateaus, which is exactly why these plates can be beyond beneficial to your training, regardless of if you train in #powerlifting, #powerbodybuilding, #bodybuilding or even just general #strengthtraining. So with that in mind I just ordered a pair of these 1.25lb plates from #44sport to assist me in times where I visit a gym other than my own and these plates aren't readily available. Do you rely on fractional or #microplates? Let me know in the comments!
