Your #piriformis, which runs from your sacrum down to your femur, can tighten very easily due to overuse. In effect pressure will be added to the tendons holding it in place, which is especially not good if you plan on performing most physical activities. So what’s the best way to loosen up your piriformis is to apply direct pressure to the tender spots using either a #tennisball or a #lacroseball, as seen in the video above. You can roll around slowly until you find that spot and sit with your leg crossed for 20 to 30 seconds per side. I'm a big believer in the second point on the list. I knew a long time ago that you are essentially the sum of the five people you surround yourself with. Only problem was, I was too arrogant to think hanging around dopes and needy people that I actually thought were good people wouldn't actually affect me. Not only did it do just that, I feel like it set an very negative trajectory for most of my twenties, regardless of how different I was from those so-called friends. Even members of my own family are guilty. But I eventually ripped myself away from that atmosphere. I say "ripped" because it was NOT easy to do; but it was done I felt like a new person, reborn even. I don't know that I could've accomplished what I've accomplished in the last two years alone had I still been with those people who were just sucking the oxygen out of me. If you're in this situation then get out now before it's too late. I promise you won't regret it.
