Hand stitching practice x)
These pants are pretty threadbare in general, so I'm going to slowly patch/replace everything on them until they're different pants. In the meantime I happened to have the perfect color match for a patch!
At first I was sewing through the middle of the patch with the intent of preserving as much of the old material as possible, even though it wasn't what I wanted aesthetically. Then my friend Amber suggested that I sew another patch on the inside (last photo), which hadn't occurred to me. The result is two rows of stitching on the outside patch, which looks amazing. I like it because it's the same way a seam would be sewed with a machine, but if you look closely you can tell it's hand stitched.
