Found myself being to stressed to do deep render lately -

So I’ve decided to just sketch and color simply and of course I drew Kaladin, my emotional support depressed Windrunner 💙

I wanted to do a nice illustration of the dance sequence from Wind and Truth but every time I tried something, I didn't like it. Then I picked up Calvin and Hobbes and an idea struck me.

The weirdest part of drawing this was making Kaladin smile 😂

I pulled out the paints and inks for this! I wanted to capture the essence of Calvin and Hobbes as much as possible. I still need a lot of practice with traditional watercolors and gouaches. And the style was hard to emulate; Bill Watterson is truly a modern master.
