#cross stitching

I was just trying to find the TV remote! My kid was the last to use it but it's not like I could ask her because when I filmed this video, it was 10:00 in the morning. She's in school!

But that's how I found out that she had knocked a bunch of needles off some needle minders so, being a needle minder maker with a slew of magnets all over this damn house, I got to work.

When I'm finally ready to clean this room and tidy it, I might either tape a bunch of magnets to a ruler or just tape them all up and down my arm and become a human magnet so when I'm sweeping under the couch with my arm to find things, I can find all the needles too.

Oh yeah, don't forget. I'm running a 75% off sale on everything in my shop now through the end of August. Unless the sale does really well and I want to extend it thru September.

If I can make an additional $20 in sales by Sunday evening, I'll post a new pattern on Monday! If I can get $40 in sales then I'll post two new patterns on Monday! If I can make $50 in sales, which I doubt will happen, I'll take a video of me trying to cross stitch something while I am completely zoinked on an entire edible or large bowl of greens.

But it's up to all of you to reblog and spread the word that your followers need to be enabled. They need more patterns. Everyone does.

Your money will help pay for the increase in our mortgage. It'll help pay for some spending cash when I go to a wedding at the end of the month. It'll help pay for groceries. It will help pay for my green magic miracle medicine that I get at the dispensary! You'll be helping my back feel better!

Because let's face it. I am a stay-at-home mom with a 10-year gap in my employment. The job market here in Colorado Springs sucks. I've got to find a way to help contribute financially in some way.

Here's the update for my cross stitch. So so so so close!!!!

Dear Tumblr followers,

Probably already know that I'm running a 75% off sale on my entire shop! The video also helps prove it.

I have my Etsy set up to deposit once a week if I have money to deposit. My next deposit is on Monday, August 17th. That means, I want to set myself a goal. I have all weekend to try to bump that $13.90. I wish Etsy didn't take out so many fees because then I would have had an even $20, thereabouts.

So, spread this one post around as much as you can and let's see if I can have more money to deposit when the auto deposit kicks in on Monday!

Because surely you have followers that need more patterns to work on. Maybe you want to purchase something today because it's payday.

Let's see if we can get a sale as soon as this gets posted or within 30 minutes. Let's see if we can get several sales today!

And I'll cut you all a deal. If I can make $20 before taxes, I'll upload the ADHD peanut memory pattern to my Etsy shop on Monday! If I get $40, I'll upload a second pattern. I haven't decided what that one is cuz I have to figure out which other ones I have that are done.

So, help me reach my goal and I will give you a new pattern on Monday! Just remind me in case my peanut memory forgets... And if you forgot what that pattern looked like, here's a sample.

Here's something recent I'm working on. I'm going to that out-of-state wedding at the end of the month and because money is tight, I was trying to think what I could do for a wedding gift.

And then I remembered I had some cross stitch towels that a neighbor had given me. And I have the floss. And I'm a cross stitch designer. I think the newlywed couple needs some monogrammed towels.

I was going well until I NOTICED I WAS OFF BY 10 FUCKING ROWS! And I was off by 10 fucking rows when I was doing the name"Alexandra". I frogged the name out and fixed it.

I'm going to leave the dachshund half finished. I'm already working on the other dachshund that's measured just right. I'm going to work on the groom towel. And when it's all done, I'll decide if I want to frog out the dog or not.

I have until the 26th to figure this out.

But here's your caveat. I don't want to hear you complaining about the patterns. You got them for free. What more do you want! If you donated to the pattern cause because you felt bad for them, then thank you. But you still shouldn't complain. You made the choice.

So, that's my second attempt at stitching on clothes, I think, it looks neat. But I was stupid enough to use a black shirt, so for it to be visible I decided to outline it with a white thread.
