Landon: dating a Mikaelson is great!
Keelin: so great!
Sage: the best!
Cami: but they tend to be a tad judgemental.
Hayley: almost punitive.
Davina: they are monsters.
Marcel: that’s why the seven of us formed a secret alliance to help each other cover up our little mistakes :)
Ib: liv45no
one thing about the mikaelsons is that they don’t play about their love interests like yes family above all but they’re still completely obsessive and insane about the people they’re in love with and i think it’s beautiful <3
this poor edit was stuck in my draft since valentine's day

It will always make me laugh when I see people complaining about Human & Vampire romantic relationships being toxic. Like... what do you think this kind of romance is for ? One of the partners is a vampire, of course there's going to be toxicity. That's literally what we're here for. Watching vampire-human romances and expecting healthy relationships is ridiculous. That's not the goal in the first place. Usually anyway, when the partners involved aren't humans but vampires (or witches, werewolves, etc.), that's the fucking goal. Bringing darkness, danger, diving into darker aspects through romance, etc. It will always kill me to see people watch this type of relationship and be outraged that it's not a healthy relationship that we should aspire to in real life. But that's not the goal ?! Isn't that why they're fictional creatures ?! It's used to escape, and to explore things that we can't explore in our real lives safely. And of course, the delirium of saying that it's super dangerous for young girls. The joke, again. It's funny because we never see this kind of concern in a fiction said for men where there is romance between the hero and a villain woman, whether the supernatural is involved or not. Because men apparently know how to differentiate fiction and reality but not women maybe ? It disgusts me. It's gotten to the point where people are complaining about dark themes in gothic romances, a genre that is a fucking classic and is mostly studied ! Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people ! It drives me crazy !
