I’m too lazy to look this up for accuracy on how long Bonnie was there but Beremy could’ve had sex in the witches house way back in s2. Bonnie was supposed to be “dead”, out of the way from Klaus to ensure she’d have the upper hand when it was time to face him. Unless Bon was growing her own fruit in the yard… Jeremy had to been the one bringing her food or whatever other necessities to keep Klaus from seeing her… we know it wasn’t Rudy. If the problem was showing Kat’s body, a simple scene of one of them changing would’ve been enough implication but no lol. When Beremy does have sex Bonnie’s in physical agonizing pain..

If anyone else was stuck in the prison world with Damon they would’ve hooked up. “But Elena feels—“ would’ve been a non-factor. Especially when you can see in early stages of tvd Bamon does have moments where you can see some romantic subtext.

Shane/Silas and Bonnie was a textbook example of the student/teacher grooming trope. But no Shane couldn’t even be into her romantically he only wanted her for her magic. Which… if you rewatch their scenes together lol. Something romantic is there. Bonnie’s giggling, defending him to everybody… as if he was her boyfriend. The fact that she eventually had to accept his betrayal and the plot did nothing else with it… typical

Luka and Ben the bartender both were “interested” but it was about her magic/for someone else.

Jamie? He likes her, so what he’s everything Abby wanted in a child vs Bonnie? Think abt it: Bennetts seem to birth women & witches. Abby didn’t want to be a witch so in a way Jamie her new child is perfect. So what, you’ll never see him again and he’s her adoptive brother. Not like Bonnie couldn’t have started something up with Klaus or Kol during her break up with Jeremy. SO WHAT, Julie threw a tantrum on twitter when she was actively pushing Klaroline at the time.

Kai and Bonnie? No can’t have that. It would ruin Kai from being an irredeemable villain. It would break and destroy Bonnie’s character. But, yeah Kai has feelings for Bonnie but that’s it.

Bonnie and Stefan? Sorry, that’ll be dropped in exchange for Steroline’s love story.

Bonnie can only ask what kissing the bad boy is like with Elena. Bonnie can only vent and laugh with Caroline or another about wanting to be hooking up vs dealing with magic problems. Bonnie can only dream of having a happy life with Enzo.. but she can’t have that

There’s a post by this creator here about how some WW cannot fathom that someone that isn’t white can be considered prettier than them. Which is exactly what happened in the tvd writing room. Those women couldn’t understand why those male or women actors wanted to be paired up with Bonnie/Kat when they saw Bonnie/Kat as someone beneath them. Liv and Bonnie was a good option too. Same for Bonnie and Nora. Neither one of those could happen but Freya got to be Bisexual…

I know til this day it eats Julie alive that if anyone ask Ian about Bamon he’s going on a tangent about them not dating or sleeping together made no sense lol.

It’s just telling that theirs so many scenes of these white women characters and the opposing sex that blurs the lines of consent and yet when it came to Bonnie everyone had control of themselves…

Bonnie Bennett always wins my heart.

1. Bonnie x Kol

This is my number one. Always. The potential is actually insane. I love the vibe he would bring into Bonnie’s life. Kol is chaotic in a way that just fits with her, and I feel like he would be completely gone for her the second they really meet her.

And the thing is, it wouldn’t even feel forced. He would want to be there. He would want to follow her lead, to learn her, to stay close to her. Bonnie wouldn’t even have to try that hard, it would just happen naturally.

Also, the witch and witch dynamic?? That’s one of my favorite parts. Them teaching each other different kinds of magic, showing each other things that were hidden or never passed down, getting into older, deeper magic together. I love that for them.

Kol is chaotic, unpredictable, and a little unhinged, and I love that energy for Bonnie. That is exactly the kind of dynamic I like for her. They will always be my favorite rare pair.

2. Bonnie x Kai (Bonkai)

This one has such a strong place in my heart. I love it. I love writing it, reading it, everything. The darkness, the tension, the villain energy

Kai would burn the world down for her, and I love that level of intensity. And Bonnie being someone who could stand in front of that and not fold?

I also love the idea of her showing him small, real things about the world that he never got to experience properly. There’s something there that could have been explored so much more.

And I’m still annoyed we didn’t get more of this dynamic, because there was real potential there.

3. Bonnie x Enzo (Bonenzo)

I really appreciate Bonnie and Enzo, and a big part of why I love them now is because they actually helped me learn how to write Bonnie in softer romantic dynamics. It gave me a reference point for how to write someone who consistently shows up for her, someone who chooses her and stays. When I was writing Bonnie, I needed an example of that kind of steady romantic energy, and they gave me that foundation. From there, I could branch out and build things from my own imagination, but they helped me understand how to shape that side of her relationships.

I also like the idea that Bonnie and Enzo had someone they could save each other with. There’s something about that mutual impact that sticks with me.

That being said, I’m aware of the context around the writing and the way their pairing came together. I didn’t like them at first at all. It felt forced to me, and it didn’t really make sense when it was introduced. Even now, it still feels a bit random in terms of how it was built.

But I can’t ignore that they had chemistry, and I do get why people were drawn to them. I don’t rank them super high emotionally, but I do give credit where it’s due because they genuinely helped shape how I write Bonnie in romantic dynamics now.

4. Bonnie x Damon

This doesn’t even need much explanation. They can do everything.

I’ve actually been getting into them more recently, like recently really getting into them, writing them, figuring out their dynamic and how I want to portray them. That’s part of why they’re sitting at four right now, because I’m still kind of building my connection to them. I can’t put them at the top yet when I’m just now diving into them like this.

Enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, messy situationship, almost something that turns into everything… they can fit into so many different dynamics and still feel natural. That’s what makes them so fun to explore.

But I do love them. I’ve been writing them a lot, making sure everything feels right, really getting into how they interact, and I love their dynamic. Their friendship alone already gives so much to work with, and then when you start layering different tropes on top of that?? There’s so much range.

5. Bonnie x Klaus (Klonnie)

I cannot believe I almost forgot them!!!

The power dynamic here is everything. It is power meeting power in a way that feels impossible to ignore. Bonnie is powerful in her own right, Klaus is powerful in his own way, and neither of them would ever feel lesser than the other. That balance is what makes it so interesting.

I can genuinely see them ruling the world together, or it going the opposite direction where one of them tries to “domesticate” the other in some strange, intense way but even then, it would never feel weak or soft in a simple way. It would still feel sharp, controlled, and full of tension. Either direction works because of how strong they both are.

They also feel like two of the most intense, dangerous, and attractive characters in the entire Vampire Diaries universe, and putting them together just amplifies that. Their chemistry on screen was already strong enough that it could not be ignored, even with limited interaction.

That’s why I love them so much. It feels like something that could have been massive if it had ever been fully explore

6. Bonnie x Caroline x Elena (Poly / Bonlena / Bonline)

I cannot talk about Bonnie without mentioning them.

I love the idea of them in a relationship together. I’ve read Bonnie and Elena before and it’s so good, and adding Caroline just makes it even more interesting. I would honestly read so much of this if there was more of it.
