Replaying kingdom come deliverance and noticing a lot of things. The most heart breaking thing so far is how obviously close Henry was with his mother. She talks to him about the mischief Martin got up to in Kuttenberg. How she doesn’t mind if Henry gets up to mischief as long as he works hard too. She seems to like Bianca and encourages Henry there while Martin doesn’t super like her. Henry obsesses over Martin because he feels like he failed him, like he wasn’t a good son. But he misses his ma.
When he goes back to Skalitz to bury them, as he reaches for Martin, he takes his mother’s hand. Then when it comes to actually picking them up and burying them, he goes to grab her and just can’t do it. He tries to grab her from multiple angles but every time he either pulls back or clings onto her instead. His mother shouldn’t be this lifeless corpse, he can’t move it.
It’s insane to me that warhorse ignores her so thoroughly. She’s literally the pin upon which the whole world turns and they didn’t even bother to NAME her until a comic. Anyway, Henry a mamas boy
