Aitna (She/her)

Hailing from a people whom had to flee their homeland to an island of volcanoes to the South long ago for reasons long forgotten, Aitna grew up on passed down stories of her people’s homeland; a land with warm white sand and clear skies to bask under. There were also tales of their lost guardian, the Solaega; a giant benevolent heat-channeling dragon with a flowing mane and wings that shone like the sun, whom disappeared for unknown reasons around the same time as they lost their original home.

When Aitna was very young, word reached their island of an excavation job headed by the Exploration Guild that centered around a ruin theorized to belong to their ancient civilization.

Outraged by the guild’s decision to continue digging out and examining the ruin without their input or even contacting them, her people sent quite a few representatives to try to get a say in future actions. Upon arriving, they found the location appeared to match the description of the Solaega’s temple.

With certain tales hinting that there might have been a Solaega egg left there, they demanded to know if the excavation had yielded such a thing. The guild denied seeing it, but indicated that there was a report that such an object, assumed to be a large gem by the reporter, had been taken by a thief.

A search for the stolen egg was formed immediately by both the guild and Aitna’s people. After many years with still no word, Aitna devised a plan to become one of searchers. She decided to go where she knew few else had looked, the far North, where the frigid weather was nigh inhospitable for most of her people, but that she figured she could probably survive due to being a fire conduit (meaning she has fire magic).
