Detail of a black-glazed amphora, Hellenistic, 2nd century BCE. Likely found in the Olbian necropolis, near the village of village of Parutyne (Парутине) in Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine. The small figure is likely a version of the Scythian ancestral goddess, as her body ends in two curling vines, and was also depicted on other ancient Greek vases.
