I saw a post on here a while ago about someone melting ice cubes when they didn't have candles available. I thought this was a phenomenal idea, & it adds an additional correspondence to my spells as a water witch.

I've premade spell mixes before, but it's normally dry herbs that I use to either fill a spell jar or dress a candle I light during spellcasting.

I don't always have the energy to light and watch a lit flame or fill a spell jar, though, so having an ice cube ready to go with all my spell components inside it + all I need to do is melt it to cast the spell sounds so perfectly low effort!

My visualization when doing this might include something like the melting ice releasing my intent into the universe, and the resulting water fueling the spell by adding life-giving fluids. Pouring the melted water into the earth would also be good! (Just gotta either strain the herbs first or make sure they're soil/wildlife safe.)

Ooh! Ice could also be used for hexes depending on how it's melted! Maybe safely melting it with a blow-dryer, over a flame/stovetop, or leaving it out in the hot sun could all be great ways of putting the heat on someone and melting them away. "This person's stank-ass attitude is evaporated, just like the water from this ice cube." Could also be VERY on the nose symbolically when using it to hex a certain type of ice, iykwim... 😉
