Working on my next Dair, which is the direct sequel of 'Storm of pleasure' ... and I couldn't help letting sweet, adorable Cedric have a small part in it. ;P *

“Good. I’m on my way too, told you I have a mission. And possibly a direction where to go. Looks like the compass you gave me helped.” She winks at him, as he walks her to the exit.

“Go grab what you deserve, then. Fingers crossed for you.” He cheers.

“Thanks, love.” She crosses the threshold, but turns before he closes the door.

“Huh, Dan?”

“Yeah?”

“It’s good to be back to our routine.”

He stares at her puzzled, as she walks away.

Dan closes the door and goes back to his room.

Routine. Routine. Routine.

This word echoes in his mind as he tries his best to ignore it and focus on his job and he’s professional enough to do so.

So, about a couple of hours later, when he’s done with his draft - this time a noir with some historical hints -, Dan is free to let the paranoia demon eat him from within.

- She said we are back to our routine. Routine as boredom. At least, during my book signing sessions we made love in so many different places. But now that we’re back in New York, she probably thinks that every day with me is just the same. - He lies down on his bed, scratching his head. -Oh, c’mon, she had a history with Mr. Eyes-Wide-Shut; of course she’s growing bored. I must invent something. -

His eyes fall on his Cabbage Patch. “Hey, Cedric, do you have any ideas to spice things up? And,  nope, voyeurism is not an option!” *
