I will never understand why people argue that Kastle can't happen because it would disrespect Maria's memory. No, it most certainly would not. Honestly, the way Frank has lived in those miserable dumps throughout The Punisher, DDBA, and OLK is far more disrespectful to Maria's memory than him falling in love with Karen.
This argument makes no sense because people die all the time and their spouses move on, but no one claims that's disrespecting their spouse's memory. Not even in fiction is this argument made—except for Frank Castle—probably because of how nonsensical it is.
I've been married for a decade, but if anything ever happens to me and if my husband ever meets someone as amazing as Karen Page, then he has my full blessing to move on. Frank being miserable and refusing to move on and love again, and him constantly needing to punish himself because of his guilt, is far more disrespectful than Kastle happening. I'm pretty sure every wife would want more for their husband than how Frank has been living since his family was killed.
Maria's dead. Frank's alive. Karen's alive. Let the man be happy and loved for the rest of his days.
Buyer's Remorse
A ficlet
The first time he kissed her, it was a question. It asked "may I" and "is this alright" and "can I still have this."
Can you give back to me.
She should have known better than to answer "yes."
i swear to god if karen isn’t in or mentioned in brand new day :(

your touch, a familiarity; the loss of it, a waking.
One of the reasons Frank rejected Karen was because he deemed himself lost, and even though he knew about Karen's darker side, he deemed her as having it together. But in DDBA S2, Karen seems a little lost, in my opinion. We see a different side of her that has always been there but has never really been explored before. On the flip side, OLK starts with Frank more lost than ever, but he finds himself and his next purpose by the end of the special, and it was Karen who helped him find his way.
I wonder if DDBA S3 will show Karen more lost than ever with the trauma from her trial and the abuse she endured while in jail, Matt in prison, Frank's emergence as a protector, and Karen's suppressed feelings for him. It would be a good opportunity for Frank to be there for Karen like she's always been there for him and for him to help her find her way again.
