Current Threats

I am fully aware of my differences with most of the population, but sometimes I will be talking with someone about something that interests me and I'm struck with an odd sense, more than the typical void I feel. I'm gripped with the reality that no matter how good and long I fake my lie of normalcy, I am not like them. It's as if for a moment I can feel and see the glass like barrier that separates us. I'm fully aware of it at all times, but at times it's as if I bump the glass. I like my glass and the advantages it provides though.
