It always bothered me how the seven sins are shown. Most of them always feel like afterthoughts with only the bare minimum connecting them to their sin, and then gluttony is fat, and lust is a sexy woman. Or sometimes a sexy man, usually done, by the creators own admission, to own that pattern without stopping to think about it for even half a second. Most of the time they lack a distinct theme. We'll, Lust is sexy because it needs to incite lust, okay but looking at Wraith doesn't make you mad. Either commit to it fully with inciting and make Wraith basically a rage baiter, Pride a die hard dick rider for you, Greed a get rich quick scheme person, that kind of thing, or go the direction of someone who indulges too much like is often the case with Gluttony and have all of them overindulge. Pride is basically Narssisus, Envy is a cleptomaniac, that kind of thing, with lust being some kind of basement dwelling pervert addicted to sex. My personal versions of the sins lack any ability to endulge in it. Envy's eyes are turned inwards, the only sight it can see it's own inerds, never able to gaze up another's goods again. It scratches at its eyes, trying to wrench them from its skull and return them to their rightful orientation. Gluttony a husk of a man, ribs almost stabbing through its paper thin skin as it shovels rotting food into it sallow, sunken cheeks, never able to sate its gluttony. Wraith lies in a state of melancholy, unable to feel enough to incite rage within itself, its vocal cords mangled to the point speech is hard and screaming impossible. Any effort to built rage is left with nothing, so it waits and waits for something to infuriate it, even if none ever come. Sloth's eye bulge, lids long since removed to prevent any chance of sleep entering their mind, spine cracked backwards and forced to shutter along on broken and bent legs and arm, tools grafted where hands and feet once sat searching for even a moment's rest. Pride's face is gone, only the marrow and muscle left beneath what was once a beautiful face, a face now adorning a small creature that floats by it, ever out its sight, buzzing around and stinging it with a long, wicked prong. It longs for a mirror so it might once again gaze upon its own face, if only for a moment, but the creature shatters each one before it can catch a glimpse. Greed's hands are chained behind them, the metal cutting into their skin as they reach for what they covet, its skin covered in rags that have been sown to it, each garment woven with sharp burs to tear into its skin and anything it might try to cover itself with. It wanders in search of anything of value that it might hold, often using its mouth to try and pick up coins and gems for hours before giving up. Lust's genitals have been mutilated, torn into string used to sow its mouth shut. Each finger has been broken and set at a different angle, making grasping anything or delicate finger work quite impossible. But still it reaches between its thighs with its mutilated hands and tries desperately to find some pleasure with. These are all concepts from a ttrpg system and setting im working or a game ill never make due to inability to code (need to nail down which is which), and i will answer questions on either.
