well, to the best of my knowledge, the term 'arojump' is used to describe someone who experiences romantic attraction for the most part, but sometimes sees periods of aromanticism. for example, sometimes I feel very neutral about romantic relationships, and I don't experience any desire to pursue one, for days or weeks on end. and then, I go back to experiencing romantic attraction. it's kind of like my 'default state' is alloromantic attraction, and once in a while my brain will want to switch it up and go Aro Mode.

the opposite of being arojump would be being arospike (which is such a cool name btw), which is closer to- one's default state being aromantic, except when one is going RoMode. additionally, the acejump and acespike identities are pretty much the same thing but with asexuality.

these identities, like demiromanticism/sexuality, are often oversimplified and spoken about like they're "just how regular people experience attraction", but having words for specific types of attraction is important. people like me spend months, if not years, wondering what the hell is wrong with us and why identifying with either alloromanticism or aromanticism exclusively feels so wrong. because sometimes, you'll be YEARNING for SOMETHING ROMANTIC to HAPPEN to you already OH my GOD, and sometimes talking about romance feels like going to the supermarket right after you eat lunch. you know what you would want if you were hungry, but right now you have absolutely no appetite and thinking about food is making you feel sick.

about romantic relationships, it really depends on whether or not the person wants one. again, it's hard to know what you want when that changes so often, but relationships and identities can be complicated. it's allowed. encouraged, even. you can have a girlfriend one day, a friend the next day, and a boyfriend the next. people are so complex, and forming and maintaining a relationship of any kind is a lot of work, but it truly is worth it. communication is really the most important part. because sometimes you'll have needs and this other person will have needs and to have a relationship with them, it's really important that you figure out how to take care of eachother without any boundaries being crossed.

so yeah, to sum it up, being arojump is experiencing alloromantic attraction most of the time, and no romantic attraction sometimes. standing on the ground and jumping to aromanticism once in a while hehe
