I forgot to post these from when we went out for ice cream last week! The place I wanted to go to vanished (there's just a different store now, rest in peace magnificent berry bowl) so we just got something to take away and sat on a bench instead

Some lady just stopped in the middle of the road and stared at me for multiple seconds by the way. I regret not asking her what her problem is bc it was downright weird

When you pull away, they dont act hurt or make you feel guilty. They simply give you space and stay close in all the ways that still feel safe. They don’t push or keep trying if youre uncomfortable

They know love isnt measured in hugs, kisses, or how much touch you can tolerate

And when you do reach for them, even just a hand held out or your shoulder brushing theirs, they understand how much trust it carries
