Learning that Pokemon Go was using user data to build model of the world that was then being sold to a military contractor to build a no-GPS positioning system for the newest generation of military drones has been incredibly heartbreaking. The more details that come out the more disturbed I become.
While this article is a lot more pro-military than I'd prefer (though unsurprising given the source) it still gives a pretty good summary of the situation.
