B) Louis wouldn't have to get his hands dirty

B) He could deny before himself that he caused this death and pretend that he did everything he was able to do to protect Daniel and just blame Armand for his death. Because it was all Armand's fails and Louis was a good person who did his best!

It was Louis.

Louis heard the horrors.

But he didn't believe Armand.

Because if Louis had believed Armand, then he'd be forced to reckon with his own history of making money off the exploitation, vulnerability, and misery of others.

The heartbreaking thing is, Armand would have known Louis didn't believe him; that he dismissed his trauma and pain. Because Louis never could keep his thoughts locked down.

Armand always knew when "Lestat" was haunting their relationship.

The next time they're together Armand is vulnerable again. He tells Louis he wants him more than anything in the world. And Louis responds with: "Are you sure about that, Arun?"

That sounds like more of a threat than requited love.

Armand looks like a kicked puppy (if you don't believe me slow down the footage.)

By calling him a name he can barely remember; a name that takes Armand straight back to the scared, broken, brutalised twelve-year-old boy he once was, Louis asserts his ownership, and Armand is once again nothing more than a pretty possession to be used as his "owner" sees fit.

Don't get me started on the "Face down in the coffin. You can read it to me while I fuck you" shit fuckery.

Armand told the truth.

Louis is calculating to the core and methodically cruel.

EXACTLY!

Well, guess what? No.

What we have is an ancient vampire trapped in the body of a 17-year-old (or 20-something, if we're mixing the book and show canons), with the broken psyche of the 12-year-old child whose life effectively ended long before he was ever turned. Louis doesn't even have to do much, just mentioning how old Armand was is enough to completely unravel him.

Armand didn't fail to heal simply because he didn't know how or couldn't. He never really got the chance to become anyone other than that broken 12 y/o little boy. And that's why he keeps doing things that are genuinely unhinged and that end up hurting everyone around him, himself included.
