Iβm super interested in how theyβd handle the courtship aspect if we get past DM. So far, in all of Armandβs dynamics, even with modern-day Daniel, heβs been the one chasing, wooing, confessing, trying to impress the other person, getting easily charmed by scraps of attention, making romantic gestures, being rejected, left hanging, and trying to open up only to be used or spat at.
So itβd be fun to finally have that dynamic be somewhat reversed. Like, have Armand have no interest in impressing or wooing young Daniel at first, just wanting to scare him or use him for entertainment, while Daniel is the one trying to impress him, paying attention to him, wooing him, and finding reasons to keep him around. Even if Armand is still the chaser in the literal sense, romantically he could finally be the one getting chased.
I think that could be really interesting for him because Armand is genuinely a romantic and a loverboy. He likes courting people and taking care of them; he doesnβt see it as a chore or a punishment to get what he wants. But heβs also someone who just wants to be treasured and has spent so much of his life being made to feel like a bother. Heβs never really had the freedom of not having to impress someone or earn their affection upfront. Iβd love to see what happens when he realizes someone is genuinely trying to win him over simply because they like him, with no ulterior motive. To let him be the distant and resistant one for once, and eventually start reciprocating because, for once, someone is making him feel wanted without him having to beg for it.
Then, after he has been successfully wooed, he can unleash all of that romance on Daniel and absolutely win the Courtship Olympics because heβs just so extra about it. He finally has the confidence that those gestures are appreciated and, even better, reciprocated.
