On My Gasper Wishlist: Powers Revealed

If Gasper appears on QOTD 👑… I would love a scene where we see Jasper use the full extent of his powers to protect Guy. The scene would basically reveal Jasper has an extremely powerful gift that he seldom uses because it takes a lot of him.

Despite the exertion, Jasper would have no problem using his top of the line gift if it means keeping his soon to be companion❤️ safe during the catastrophe.

I still don’t think love is off the table for Daniel’s turning.

Isn’t that also traumatic? This monster whose life you just blew up kills you, but he does it with such care and love. He’s gentle throughout the entire process, holding you like he did in San Francisco, and then he leaves. He runs away and abandons you.

Daniel’s left wondering what the fuck happened and what he’s supposed to do now that got a glimpse of that side of Armand, of how it would feel to be loved by death, and now he’s supposed to live without it. Violence and love are so intertwined in their relationship. It can be spite AND be hate AND be love.

Okay but it’s so Armand to make his only fledgling feel like the rapture has come whenever he feels him.

It could never be conventionally romantic. It always has to be some spooky shit with him. Of course being connected to him feels like everyone else has been removed from the planet.

It’s not that everyone fades out and he’s the only person in the room like in a romance movie. It’s “we are alone on earth together because everyone else is dead. The entire planet is just one been liminal space and you and I were left behind by God.”

Which for them is in turn actually very romantic because they’re both freaks, so it’s incredibly beautiful and true to their book relationship.
