Yeah...

Armand was not planning to confess his love until he'd made great amends. He let that slip because he got cornered. Obviously the love declaration didn't go well, so why would he immediately turn around and hit Daniel with a "hey actually you were in love with me too and we had a relationship" right off the bat? Why would Daniel believe him?

You can see in that park scene the ways Armand keeps changing tack, doing everything he can do to convince Daniel to listen and to stay. And Daniel wants to, I really believe that. His faces throughout that whole interaction are so tormented. He's feeling all these feelings he doesn't understand. I think he really does want Armand to prove that he loves him, otherwise he'd just leave. He wants to be loved. Yeah, he throws the "I'll never love—" out there, but he seems genuinely disappointed when he realises Armand isn't talking about them anymore (even though he totally is).

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I've been all over the place and really struggling with trying to get this fic moving again. This is what happens when I don't outline: I get paralyzed by indecision, and then you're all left waiting weeks for updates. Anyway, I'll keep plugging away at the next chapter of Death Is a Delightful Hiding Place, and I hope you all enjoy this little tease.

"Yeah! I see you and your, um," Raina seemed to do the person version of a blue screen, and Guy could see her trying to figure out what to refer to Jasper as because she had no idea. She was panicking, thinking of calling him an uncle or a relative, but if they weren't related, it would be weird; if they were platonic, saying the wrong thing might offend them; if they were in some sort of paid dynamic, then Guy might be in trouble. She needed to make sure that he wasn't being taken advantage of. All of this ran through her mind in the span of about three seconds as Guy also tried to come up with what he could possibly refer to Jasper as, that wouldn't make their neighbor think Guy was some sort of sex slave.
