I love the idea of past Devil's Minion being canon so much because it makes the pair's present relationship even more romantic.

Armand fell in love with that shitty little reporter from 1973 and spent the next twelve years doting on him (in his own special and fucked up way), only to give up that happiness due to his own fears of cursing his beloved with vampirism (and maybe also the added angst of Alice being pregnant). He then spent years until 2022 watching over him and continuing to fall in love even as the boy he once knew faded into the cynical old man he is now. Even after Daniel destroyed the lie Armand had spent 77 years carefully maintaining, he loved him. Even as he broke down and turned him, Armand still loved Daniel.

Daniel, however, doesn't know he spent 12 years of his life hopelessly in love with this monster. Even if he does learn about their past or regains his lost memories, he will never be that kid again. Instead, he must reckon with his feelings and learn to love Armand as he is now. It will never be the same, but it will be love.

Those twelve years will remain a beautiful moment, frozen in time, known only to Armand and Daniel. It will be like a dream.

idk what this could mean, but the video DM filmed in the woods (with Twilight lightening an all, which hilarious, it’s like TVL/IWTV editors are saying Twilight lightening is only YT quality 😂) is probably filmed in a different day after Daniel’s first day-walking day (have a shot for every time I type “day”) because he was already tanned, and he was even more tanned when meeting Loustat, which means he probably was day walking on different days (possibly different places too).
