I do like the implication that armand had his hands on most things happening this season, he was here and there, moving pieces and seeing them unfold, listening or intervening and sometimes making things happen...he's The Presence haunting everything.

the concept of detail-oriented armand being so distracted and taken by daniel's presence around him AGAIN that he forgets to keep an eye out on the exact same talamasca members from dubai so they don't they ruin his plans a second time by using his boytoy and in fact they DO 😭

and to be honest i was also pretty pissed with the S2 finale in terms of devil's minion back in the day because of the implication that armand had turned daniel out of spite and then abandoned him when daniel's turning scene is so beautiful and loving in the books. i remember we were all having a really bad time with that one. but then all the beautiful dm fics that came out of it put me back together so i know the same fate will heal me once again
