Damian: *collapses on the couch with a groan*
Dick: Well thats out of character, what's wrong babiest bird?
Damian: My boyfriend's dog hates me.
Tim: You have a boyfriend? How long have you had a boyfriend?
Damian, huffing: 6 months Drake.
Dick: Honestly Tim, keep up.
Tim, whispering: You knew he had a boyfriend?
Dick, whispering: No, I had no idea. *louder* Why do you think his dog hates you?
Damian: He won't let me pet him, won't bring me his toy to throw, won't accept treats from me, and when I get too close to Daniel, he shoves between up.
Dick: Is he like that with anyone else?
Damian: No! The only ones who compare to how I'm treated are active threats, and Daniel's abusive uncle!
Tim: Yeah, then I think that dog hates you.
Damian: *groans and throws his head in a pillow*
Dick: Wow, you're really worked up over this. *pats his head*
Damian: What if he dumps me because his dog hates me? That's what I would do.
Tim: You more upset over Daniel leaving you or the dog hating you?
Damian: *throws a knife at him* Don't ask something stupid.
Dick: Has Daniel said anything about it?
Damian: Mostly he's apologized, he's just as confused as I am. He's put a lot of work training Cujo, taught himself a language just to train him properly, and he thinks he screwed up somewhere. Cujo is the friendliest dog in the world to everyone else.
Tim: The dog hasn't bitten you yet at least. Has he even gotten agressive, or is he just dismissive.
Damian: Dismissive, hes only ever pushed me out of the way if I'm too close to Daniel.
Dick: Then he probably doesn't hate you, just doesn't trust you and is trying to protect Daniel. You said Daniel has to speak a different language to him right? Maybe if you learn that language it will help him connect with you.
Damian: Not the worst idea. *stands up* If you'll excuse me, I need to go find a tutor that can teach me Old Norse.
Dick: Well there you go- Old Norse?
Tim: Why and How would someone need to know Old Norse to train a dog?
