Go ahead, wreck your life

except for the bittersweet fact that i can never show people how breathtakingly beautiful the world looks when you eyesight is fractured straight through the middle. i close what my opitician calls my good eye and the world explodes in colour, every pinprick source of light spreading out into iridescent flares into all directions culminating in bright circles at the edge of my vision. every star, every streetlight, multiplying into a tenfold symphony of colour and light. it's so overwhelmingly beautiful. how can i ever explain this to people? that when they find out and look at me with pity they should be envious instead. what an immense privilege, to be able to look at the world and see it too.

so i really wanted to get this sense of like. a tranquil moment, with something looming. with something Wrong. and charcolt itself has a lot of that sense of Wrongness, and so does the image of glitch city beneath the waves. there's another world under the water. there's another world under the water and you cannot get there, and maybe that's a good thing.

at this point we have to discuss how insidious this shit is because the only light world problem susie is "ignoring" is her implied abusive family that she does not want to go home to for fear of being physically punished or worse. almost every dark world forces susie to confront her problems and when she does "ignore" problems they are ones specific to the dark world. is there literally anything in the light world susie is "ignoring" that she isnt completely in the right to ignore or not want to engage with. does susie not have just as much enthusiam for the festival as she does for hanging out with ralsei
