This book is so crazy because it has a whole section on Bette divorcing Grant Sherry over physical abuse and it goes on and on about all these character testimonies about Sherry not being "that kind of guy" and Bette "provoking" men into anger and "needling" him. It includes interviews from the guy being like sureeeee I had a temper but nothing she said happened ever did maybe a few times. And then it goes on to describe a story from HIS perspective where he gets pissed off and starts physically fighting people over Bette stepping out on him and disobeying him and shit. And a hollywood psychiatrist saying "you're not crazy you're just a Red Blooded American Man 🤪" wow this is REALLY convincing me that Bette was of equal blame here
