musings of the insane sort

Starting it after perfect Crown , man i finally feel like I'm getting some real feast. Royal nemesis really holds my attention..the characters are actually speaking more than one dialogue..there is poetic beautiful and witty lines. Chemistry and otp is all so good but most of all the writing in regarding to rom com context...is my favourite..it's not a simple romcom to taste..this one actually good enough to savour..

it's so good. it's just so so so GOOD. i was shocked but also not shocked to see the writer of it has only written a few movies before this is her first drama and of course it is, such writing would've caught my attention before it's that good and it's so respectful to romance kdramas that have come before and the genre as a whole if that makes sense. it's authentically a kdrama but like, if we made one within the premises of a 2026 viewer, but also we don't nerf what made kdramas special.

it's the same with pretty much every modern fandom of the 2020s i'd say, be it shows or books or movies or even celebs. it's like, everything and everyone has to textbook level standardized appropriate or else we have to launch the salem witch trials.

but when it comes to fiction the entire thing is even more ludicrous to me. wtf are you even policing here? there's not a real person here? and if we have this obsession with wanting things to always be proper and green flags and morally right, then where does fiction get the right to portray things interestingly that our reality does not? because that is what fiction is made to do........it's like you want to see y/N but it has to be on your somehow made up scales of good and bad and god forbid y/N isn't the epitome of a wet tissue paper. no one walks through life ever on a single line and if you want a fictional character who does, then that's just deeply insulting to the brilliance of what writing can and should do.
